The shape of a violin is imprtant, because it changed the way the sound resonates through the instrument, just like each little factor changes the sound and pitch of the violin Several other factors are important, such as the f holes, the type of wood used, the bridge, the action on the strings, and the way it is crafted.

What Bass guitar should you get as a beginner?

One that's comfortable, inexpensive, and reliable. My first bass was a Mexican-made fender bass & she served me well, however i have had very good luck with washburn basses as well, they cost about the same and seem to have better electronics.

I will include a link to a related question I have answered which discusses some things to look for when shopping bass guitars.

Additionally, i would note that it is my opinion that beginning bass players should keep to 4 string basses for their first bass, staying away from 5, 6, or 8 string (or whatever else they have out now) basses until you develop your skill further. I would also recommend avoiding fretless basses. Acoustic basses can be good to practice with, but you will quickly find yourself wishing for an amp as acoustic basses often arent very loud. Furthermore acoustic basses often sound shallow and tinny on an amplifier, so be very leery of going acoustic for that first bass if theres any way you can avoid it.

How has the guitar affected people in a negative way?

new styles of music , given a lot of people jobs from luthiers (guitar builders) to factory jobs for people designing the parts. Repair shops to just 16 year old kids who work there for the money who don't know anything.. and to the listeners something new to hear as we get bored of rap music or whatever we've been listening to after a while and need something new for variety.

Difference in largemouth and smallmouth bass?

The largemouth, Micropterus Salmoides, is normally larger than the smallmouth, Micropterus Dolmeides. The smallmouth is more of a bronze color, while the largemouth is dark green or blackish on top.The smallmouth's dorsal notch is not as pronounced as the largemouth's, and the largemouth's closed mouth extends past the eye, while the smallmouth's ends in front of the eye. Pound for pound, most angler consider the smallmouth the better fighter.

What is the best Bass Guitar?

there cant be 'the best bass guitar', theres many different varieties when it comes to tones, strings, amps, playing style, etc etc. Im not sure what kind your looking for, but try looking up bass musicians and what bass they play and their set. Rickenbacker, Wal, Music Man Stingray, are just examples of some basses. But when it comes to music tastes, bass musicians like Victor Wooten (Grammy winning bass player), Les Claypool (famous for pop/slap style and bass), Justin Chancellor (strumming and his amps on bass) to name a couple, they generally prefer custom made basses. but research your favorite bass player for more info on their bass, style, and so on.

Is it normal to get blisters on your fingers when you first play bass guitar?

If you don't you are not trying to play hard enough. This is completely normal.

Yes ... totally normal. You're rubbing your fingers against coils of metal. I once had a particularly nasty blister pop before a gig and ended up playing the gig with a crater in my finger.

Your fingers will develop hard patches as required. Just keep playing.

How do you fix a rod knock?

Reman or used engine. You can rebuild the lower end of the engine, but it seems like an engine that has cancer. That is, shortly after doing the lower end, the upper starts with problems. Just from what I have seen. Would appreciate any info anyone else has.

The best bet is usually a used engine for cost effectivness and down time concerns. Not much rebuilding happening at the dealership level, even for warranty repairs.

Should you get a teacher to learn bass guitar?

No, you just have to be able to play bass guitar to a resonable level, and manage to get enough advertising to get pupils.

Why is bass clef superior to treble clef?

It is not.

To expound a little, it isn't superior. Bass cleff is used so lower pitched instruments can more easily read the music. For instance, the bass guitar music was written in treble cleff, almost every note would have multiple ledger lines and be difficult to read.

Is peavey a brand electric guitar?

Absolutely! My wife just got me a Peavey Acoustic. Great guitar. My experience was some spanish guitar when I was a teen. It certainly took me a while to get my fingers used to metal strings (my wife knew I wanted this kind of guitar), but the sound is beautiful.

Some people say it's a little heavy, so maybe it's not so great for a kid, but believe me: When I play "Give a little bit" people think it's Supertramp for real!

Why is it so hard to hear a bass guitar?

I've always said that the guitar is hard to play even the basic stuff on, but more complex stuff can be learned easily once the basics are mastered. The bass on the other hand is easy to play the basics on, but once the basics are mastered there is an awful lot of work to get anything complex learnt.

In other words you could pick up a bass and play some songs within the day, but to try and play slap bass or improvise an entertaining bass line along with some blues tunes or jazz can take years and years of practice

What year did Fender start making their bass guitars?

The original bass guitar was developed by Paul Tutmarc in the 1930s as a replacement for the double bass, but he received little success for the invention. In the 1950s Leo Fender (who, obviously, is the man who started Fender) took the idea and introduced the first mass-produced bass guitar on the market, the Precision bass. This was hugely popular and since then bass guitars have become the norm in all bands, and variations upon the Precision are still made and extremely popular.

Where can one buy cheap bass guitar?

What impact does the bass guitar have on music?

AnswerThe Impact of a Bass, Is the Timing, The drums, is the "Main" Timing, but then the Bass, Is like the Back Up Timer, but the bass can rock out too.

Bass sets the groove - a drumkit can't do that. It adds the low-end rumble and balances the sound, and provides an extra layer of melody for bass freaks like me to listen to. Also it can solo and sound awesome!

Is rockburn a good electric guitar?

never heard of it, but a quick google search and you'll see for sure from reviews. BC Rich is my favorite, sure they look death metal for most but they are very unique and everyone (big rockstars) have played them.

May 2013

To the best of my knowledge, Rockburn is just a name slapped onto a Student model Chinese made guitar. Rockburn also sells and distribute drums and other musical instruments. Being a student type guitar the manufacturing process is as much quality as any and since most mfgs are using CNC machines to cut and produce them quickly. So the machining may be nice, but the question lies in the wood used, gluing electronics, hardware and paint. These would be the areas to skimp.

However, as a beginner/student why go pay for a guitar that you may never keep interest in or plain give up. If you accomplish the desire of playing, once your skills improve, go treat yourself to a step up. Many next step guitar companies have affordable lines to choose from. Like Fender, Dean, Gibson, Epiphone, Jay Turser and on and on.

Be realistic in you first guitar purchase and don't spent money unnecessarily.

Have confidence in you skills to constantly improve and be an Artist!
