How many men did Hannibal take with him?

He took 40,000 men with him.

Actually, according to recent research by Josh Stevens PhD, he took seven billion men. This is of course, true. Recent artifacts, have suggested that they were all buried in a small area, 2 by 5 metres by 1 metre. Contempararies of the time claim that 19 (!) billion were sent across the Alpes and into Italia. This is of course rubbish, as the Earth's population at that time was limited, to a mere 8 billion. Thus Dr Stevens' works proves that previous theories are innacurate attemps at being funny......

How did it happen that there 640 acres in a section?

Answer

A section, is one Square Mile. A Square mile is 640 ac...

I offer this:

We can thank Thomas Jefferson for the use of 640 acres becoming a section of land in America. Jefferson had an extreme dislike for cities. He told James Madison: "I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get plied upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe."

Before the Constitution, Jefferson pushed his anti-urban policy in the Land Ordinance of 1785. This is the classic land policy that divided land in what is now the Midwest into six square mile townships, divided into 640 acre sections. Jefferson and his friends imagined that each section would become used for farming, except for one section that would be reserved for public education.

Further study leads to the formation of the Homestead Act of 1857. Wherein the section was divided further to create "homesteads" of 160 acres per family. In today's world this may seem rather large. The intent was for the family to live on on 40 acres parcel and rotate their crops yearly on the other three.

I realize my answer is lengthy although hopefully complete.

Are Webkinz a rip off?

NO! They are not a rip off. They are really really fun! My Mom even plays on it! They get new stuff and places to go every once in a while. If your child is 5 in under go to http://www.webkinzjr.com if your child is 6 and + go to http://www.webkinz.com. You can find cheap webkinz at Walgreens. They have them at alot of places.

PICK UP A WEBKINZ TODAY!

toritoritori1010: YES WEBKINZ IS A HUGE RIP OFF. I HAVE SPENT OVER $500 ON WEBKINZ FOR MY CHILDREN AND WHEN YOU ADOPT A PET YOU ONLY HAVE 1 YEAR TO PLAY WITH IT AND 30 DAYS AFTER YOUR ACCOUNT EXPIRES THEY DELETE EVERYTHING LIKE YOUR ACCOUNT NEVER EXISTED. I SENT A COMPLAINT AND NOTHING EVER HAPPENED, DIDN'T EVEN SEND ME AN EMAIL BACK. THEY DO THIS SO PEOPLE BUY WEBKINZ OVER AND OVER UNTIL THEY SPEND $500 LIKE I DID. IT'S A MONEY-HUNGRY, GREEDY, F-ED UP COMPANY. EVERY $15 PET I'VE BOUGHT FOR MY KIDS IS GONE FOREVER (NOT INCLUDING CLOTHES, ACCESORIES, AND ALL THE OTHER USELESS CRAP I BOUGHT FROM THE GAY COMPANY)

DO NOT EVER BUY A WEBKINZ. THEY'RE FUN FOR THE 395 DAYS YOU HAVE THEM. UNTIL IT GETS DELETED.

I think that the person up there is being VERY overreactive. Sure, they cost a lot of money and you have to buy them every year, but that's buisness. I'd say they are just a waste of money, but the people who own the company came up with a great way to make serious moolah. So yes. Webkinz are a rip off. But I am staying calm about it. I also love my bum. It's soft.

I think Webkinz are sort of a rip off. If you want to keep a load of money,

just buy Webkinz pets when your account is about to expire. But still, I

think it's a rip off. But at least it's fun for kids and stuff! It's probably

one of the most popular teddy bear websites there is! But I would

probably only have a Webkinz when it's about to expire. Like I have spent

over $100 dollars on Webkinz. I have about 33 Webkinz pets I think.

But I wouldn't go on Webkinz in the first place. It encourages you to

waste your money on loads of useless stuff. Like pet clothing, people only

buy pet clothing to get the feature code! How useless is that? But

I would stay away from WEBKINZ! IT'S A RIP OFF! 100% RIP OFF!

Well, I think it's a rip off. People really only want the codes.

if your just iterested in the plush (like me) then it's not a rip off but the experation dates and such are stoping so no its not a rip off
