The Black Codes limited the freedoms of African-Americans, and that wasn't fair. The Black Codes pretty much segregated the African Americans from the Whites.

The Black Codes were a series of laws meant to opress newly freed blacks in the USA after the American Civil War. These laws and restrictions were most agressive in the South, but the majority of locales throughout the country did participate with its own "slave codes" to some extent.

Black Codes existed in many southern states, the main 13 southern states included South Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Alabama , Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, & Kentucky. Although black codes were different from state to state they all restricted black people. Black people (former slaves) were free however they couldn't vote or interracial marry.

Absolutely not......If people wish to come and live in America then they should learn to speak the English language...we should not have to learn spanish, french, German, Russian, or any other language to appease the foreigners visiting or otherwise... The word Redneck originally comes from the the poor and often badly educated white people that worked the land in the US south. The sun beating down on them as they worked had a tendency to make the back of their necks red. The fact that education played a minor part in their lives put them in a position wher they were easily led into blaming others for their hard life and this is why so many of them were involved in actions against black people, especially in the days after emancipation when freed slaves were competing directly with them for work. Today it depends more on the induvidual. however the shalow uneducated and unempathetic atitude of a racist is today still accompanied with the old term redneck.
