How do you reset a computer on a 2002 Acura TL?

Well if you are talking about reseting the system when the service lite is on, that is easy. sit in the car, put the key in the ignition, on the dash you have 2 buttons for the odometer controls to flip between a and b and to reset..... hold both of them in at the same time, while holding them in, turn the key and start the car, DO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTONS. You will need to hold them in for approx 10 sec or so, the service engine lite will turn off. This is usually needed to be done when oil changes are done and the facility does not reset the system themselves. If you are talking about the codes, you will need to take the car to a garage that has a codes handheld computer for acuras or order one yourself from PepBoys or the like, and you can clear you own codes (especially useful if you have to pass inspection) but codes will not stay cleared for long. Hope this helps - 02 3.2TL Type-S Owner from NJ

How do you jumpstart BMW r1150?

Put it in 2nd gear, clutch in, key on, have someone push you or roll down a declining hill then release the clutch at speed.

I wouldn't suggest a jump by battery, rather recharge it or replace with new then start it. You may strain the alternator with a failing battery and will have to replace that too.

How do you change a low beam bulbs in a 2002 BMW 745i?

first the low beam bulb is very costly. Average around $140.00 a piece. Underneath the hood there is a black enclosure that snaps in place that will allow access to the bulb assembly. Simply unsnap this case and remove the bulb asembly. You will have to twist the bulb assembly 1/4 turn for it to release. Remove the old bulb. Being careful not to touch the new bulb (hold it only on the metal beause the natural oils on your hand will cause the bulb to break prematurely, it gets that hot) Screw it into the bulb assembly and put the bulb assembly back in place. This should correct the problem if it is the bulb otherwise you may have an electrical problem.

Where is the Battery of a BMW 740i 1994?

This information can be found in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one. Dealer or salvage yard is a source. Underneath the rear seat cushion, on the right (passenger) side. The cushion just lifts out in the 740i after you take out a few securing screws. If you have an iL with a power rear seat, it's a little more complicated. Make sure you get the right replacement battery. It's a big sucker, long and heavy, but low top to bottom. Too tall, and it will short out on the bottom of the rear seat. Also make certain you install the venting tubing correctly. Another alternative is the Optima dry-cell battery; you can install that on its side, and it doesn't need venting.

Your BMW key does not keep a charge since you do not drive it much dealer says only fix is to drive car more often anyone know how to charge it some other way than in the ignition when car is running?

if you are talking about the latest key with a mechanical key part on it, with the three buttons with the roundel in the middle for the lock button then, yes!! the dealer is correct, the way it works it there is a capacitor in the key and that is what powers the buttons for locking and unlocking, when you insert the key into the ignition there is a plastic ring peace that goes around where your key goes into your igntion, that is called the antenna ring, it read your ews code ( anti theft code that allows you to start the car) and also charges up the capactor via magnetic wave in your key, as long as the key is in the ignition and turned to position 2 it will be charging, so either put your key in and turn it on WITH A BATTERY CHARGER HOOKED UP TO YOUR CAR or drive it, however it does take a couple hours for the key to be fully recharged. good luck.

Does a change in tire size affect a transmission gear?

Your transmission shifts according to the speed you are traviling. Different tire size rotate different speeds according to how big or small they are, small tire will rotate 2 times as a big tire rotates 1 so the ratio is 2to1 so if u have bigger tires u will travel further and faster than a smaller tire so it will affect when transmission shifts

How do you remove the heater blower motor on a 1992 735il BMW?

OK, First, remove the negative battery terminal, then remove the hoses and water level electrical wire, unbolt the expansion tank and put it aside, behind you will find a bulkhead cover, remove (5 screws) it and you will find the motor, it looks like two black plastic cylinders side by side.

Disconnect the motor wires, now, there is a vertical metal strap holñding the motor, you have to pry it (really hard) to open it.

Then, once the strap is off, you can pull it out of it's housing.

The test voltage is 13 volts

It should consume 15 amps

the maximum axial play allowable is 1.0 mm

BTW, it is a pretty nasty job, first check the fuses and switches.

Also, if it's making noise, whining or grinding, before removing it spray some wd 40 into it (while it runs) and mybe you can save yourself a headache.

How do I know this ? I own a 735il.

good luck
