I know how that feels. It feels horrible. You should try to be friends with him. JUST FRIENDS. Then, after a while, when you and him are really close, you should be like, say his name is bob. You should be like "Bob, I know we don't really talk about it, but since we are close and all I feel like I can tell you anything" or something along those lines. Then you should be like "Bob, in our relationship, do you think anything went wrong? I mean like, do you still care or what?" Then if he gets really quiet he's thinking. And if he says he cares, take the conversation from there, and tell him how you feel. If he says he don't just as friends. Say something along the lines of "i was just wondering. since your so sure and everything sorry i asked" But that's all there is to it. Its alot easier than it seems, but, you just have to be ready.

Funny you should ask, as I am in the midst of that, exactly. In our case, the decision was mutual. How did we reach that point? I believe that we built a foundation for it, precisely in the same way one might attempt to lay a foundation for a marriage. Or if YOU sought suggestions as to HOW one might initiate a break up after 20 years, you also came to the right place. I suggest, if feasible, serious attempts be made to reconcile. But anyhow, people can change, grow apart or even find a menopausal partner impossible to deal with. Whatever happens, remaining civil, friendly & cooperative, before, during and after, will make both parties much less miserable. This is a really tough one, but more common than you think. Couples stay together for years until their children grow up and leave home and then they are face-to-face with the fact they have lost touch with each other. Some couples don't have children, both work and they still lose touch with each other. They know their are problems, but they keep putting it off in hopes these problems with resolve themselves. As we get older and especially around 40 or so, one starts to relect on their lives and feel like they are missing gaps in their lives and want to play "catch up." Some want to regain their youth. You have to decide where you fit in to the above and go from there. Be careful what you wish for! Be sure you want to split up because you are hurting someone else's feelings and making big changes in their life that they have no control over. If you can go away by yourself for a bit (tell your mate you just need some head space) and rethink your decision and if you still want to split-up then you are going to have to sit down with your mate and tell them. There is no easy way out of this one. As much as I am a firm believe in an ex being an ex for a reason, it all depends on the situation and the circumstances surrounding the breakup in the first place. No two stories are the same and only you can make that call. Settling is never a good thing, but if the good out weighs the bad, then maybe it's worth a short.

Well the easiest way is to talk to her when she is alone (you especially don't want to start talking to her in front her bf) but just ask her a question like if you have a class with her ask her about a problem then ask her what her name is and see what happen's from there. If you don't have a class with her it's pretty much the same thing just ask her where a place is in the school and after she tell's or show's you next time you see her ask her name pretty easy really. (P.S. If your like me you look at a girl right they will become slightly interested and maybe talk to you which can really stink cause a lot of girls with bf's like me it's like a curse lol I got asked to home coming by this one girl instead of her bf i felt sorry for him though) Well good luck. Never break up with your boyfriend in a text its one of the things that they wont believe or they will go around and tell everyone they broke up with you and everyone will give you a hard time. And sometimes guys are sensitive and that's nothing you wanna get into. So the best way would probably be to break up with him face to face and if you cant see him any time soon and just cant wait to break up with him then call him but never text it. And be sure you tell him that you want to try and see if a friendship thing will work that way your totally kicking him out of your life and hes not that upset.

• This post coming from an older generations opinion is the fact that wise older adults can often learn from the young and the young can learn from their wise elders. Sometimes the old and wise true methods of getting through life still apply to today's youth, but young people can make some of the older generation feel their youth yet once again and help the older generation to expand their idea on certain subjects and some of the younger generation can keep the older generation in the 'know' on many subjects. Both should respect each other. The older generation have a history that could be very interesting and valuable to the youth of today. If the younger generation is rude; arrogant and disrespectful then that's what they'll get back from the older generation and if the older generation is grumpy and complaining about the younger generation it's because they have not experienced anything positive from them. Many of the youth today are volunteering in nursing homes to help the elderly; getting to know the older generation by joining clubs, etc., and hopefully more of this will happen so the two generations will combine and learn from each other.

Many people find when they are in a relationship that things are moving too fast. They may even start to feel panic in the fact the person they are with wants more out of the relationship and perhaps wants to marry. There is nothing wrong with "stepping back" and getting some head space to figure out if this is the person you may want to spend the rest of your life with. It's a smart person that can step back and look at things rather than stay in the relationship and perhaps break-up in the end hurting not only themselves, but the person they love.
