Tell him it is apparent something is wrong and you would like to work it out but can not do so without him talking. If he still declines to talk, let him know how you feel about him, but will leave him to his silence. This is assuming he is not depressed or physically ill. Communication is everything in a relationship. If he's unwilling to communicate what's wrong then you have to be the one to set the rules. Tell him you aren't putting up with his moods, and if he really cared and trusted you he'd have no problem communicating with you. If he still doesn't then it's time to hit the road and leave him to his own demise. By letting him get away with this you are enabling him to act in this fashion and who wants to be around a moody person constantly who won't give you one clue as to why they feel down about something.

If you have only been going out with him 2-3 times he is not your boyfriend, yet. Yet, if you have been seeing him 6 months or more and he doesn't want to tell anyone there is a reason. When you date someone you go places together so usually people see you together, but if you aren't doing anything but sex this doesn't make a boyfriend either. I suggest you examine the relationship you are in with him.

You just tell the individual that you care for him, and let him know that there is nothing wrong with who he is. It is just in terms of your compatibility that you two want different things and ultimately pursuing a relationship which in essence is "being in a relationship just to be in one" will lead to hurt down the road. If he's not the one, he's the one for someone else... just not you. I know how that feels. It feels horrible. You should try to be friends with him. JUST FRIENDS. Then, after a while, when you and him are really close, you should be like, say his name is bob. You should be like "Bob, I know we don't really talk about it, but since we are close and all I feel like I can tell you anything" or something along those lines. Then you should be like "Bob, in our relationship, do you think anything went wrong? I mean like, do you still care or what?" Then if he gets really quiet he's thinking. And if he says he cares, take the conversation from there, and tell him how you feel. If he says he don't just as friends. Funny you should ask, as I am in the midst of that, exactly. In our case, the decision was mutual. How did we reach that point? Well the easiest way is to talk to her when she is alone (you especially don't want to start talking to her in front her bf) but just ask her a question like if you have a class with her ask her about a problem then ask her what her name is and see what happen's from there. If you don't have a class with her it's pretty much the same thing just ask her where a place is in the school and after she tell's or show's you next time you see her ask her name pretty easy really. Never break up with your boyfriend in a text its one of the things that they wont believe or they will go around and tell everyone they broke up with you and everyone will give you a hard time. And sometimes guys are sensitive and that's nothing you wanna get into. So the best way would probably be to break up with him face to face and if you cant see him any time soon and just cant wait to break up with him then call him but never text it. And be sure you tell him that you want to try and see if a friendship thing will work that way your totally kicking him out of your life and hes not that upset.

• This post coming from an older generations opinion is the fact that wise older adults can often learn from the young and the young can learn from their wise elders. Sometimes the old and wise true methods of getting through life still apply to today's youth, but young people can make some of the older generation feel their youth yet once again and help the older generation to expand their idea on certain subjects and some of the younger generation can keep the older generation in the 'know' on many subjects. Both should respect each other. The older generation have a history that could be very interesting and valuable to the youth of today. If the younger generation is rude; arrogant and disrespectful then that's what they'll get back from the older generation and if the older generation is grumpy and complaining about the younger generation it's because they have not experienced anything positive from them. Many of the youth today are volunteering in nursing homes to help the elderly; getting to know the older generation by joining clubs, etc., and hopefully more of this will happen so the two generations will combine and learn from each other.
