Okay, this might sound kind of bad but i'm telling the truth not trying to be mean, but if your ex is dating your best friend then there's two things that you need to do, but getting your ex back is not one of them. 1st off, if your ex really cared about you he wouldn't be dating your best friend. And 2nd, your best friend is not a friend at all. That's like the number one rule that best friends should never break. The two things that you should and need to do is cut off "friendship"with both parties because they were never truly your friends.

Take to heart that most of us have been there and experienced this at some time in our lives, and you are not the first nor the last that has felt this way. Time is the healer and I know that doesn't make you feel all that great right now, but your heart will heal eventually. The best thing to do is pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep busy. If you go to college or work, then go out with friends, have a little fun, and keep your mind busy. You get it together later and realize again, hey, it's you, not them. Other reasons are just boredom or growing pains for anybody, adults or kids. If you can iron out the little things before they become big, you can have peace. Not all relationships, however can ever go back. Watch out for the ones where you're finding out about the other person as time goes on and you know, somehow, they are just not right for you. It was never meant to be. You thought you saw potential. The other person might have been playing you for some reason; sex, or to be popular. Go kind of slow finding things out and bring them to the surface if you think the problem can hurt your relationship.

It is important for you to realise that this friend didn't take your girlfriend but rather went in for your ex-girlfriend. In this case, it won't be apt to describe it as 'stealing'. Since you left the girl and there's nothing going on between the two of you before he stepped in, I think there is very little you should worry over but rather consider it as a normal occurrence in life. For all you know, they may be a better pair and your match may be on the way. You can continue your friendship with you guy friend and don't begrudge him.
