i have a 1996 buick century and i resolved my problem for $23. I went to C.A.P and purchased "EZ Chill auto air conditioning R-134a refrigerant plus oil" Filled my air conditioning port to the correct psi according to the guage( that comes with it) and my air conditioner was working full blast. It was alot cheaper than getting my freon filled by an auto place, which can cost you about $80-$90.

The core support is the (metal) framework that holds the radiator in place. This should be true on all vehicles that I know of.

Hey C==The blower motor probably is dragging causing it to use excessive amps hence blowing the fuse. Replace it. Go to a parts store and have the alternator checked out. New alternators go bad just like old ones do. GoodluckJoe

Locate the fuel filter on the 1996 Skylark frame rail. While covering the fitting with a rag, loosen the fuel lines, and remove the filter. Take the filter off, and connect the lines to the new filter, keeping the flow arrow towards the front of the car.

It is located above oil filter, If your lucky you will be able to pull straight out after (after removing 1 small bolt)dropping starter down, however their usually rusted and strongly magnetized and will break then your if for a world of fun.

It's all that labor. If the engine weren't so complicated, you could replace it yourself, but noooooo.... Nowadays, you're lucky you can still change your own oil.

It's a design defect with these cars. I couldn't find a fix for it anywhere. I just stuff towels behind the firewall where it meets the carpet and change it every two weeks.

I have a 1995 Skylark and that repair is at least $500.00 but it's worth it. The engine runs great now.

limp home mode is a fail safe mode on Mercedes vehicles which allows you to be able to drive a reasonable distance without necessarily damaging your engine. Most of the electronically operated parts driven by the MV belt can work on manual mode. while this is not ideal for performance it is meant to allow you to get the car to safety and a service station hence the phrase "limp home"

Have you replaced the heating core yet?

I would say that a door ajar switch is either bad or come diconnected. It is the little button looking thing on the hing side of the door. Play with it maybe even put a little silicone spray on it. The radio sounds like the antenna isn't working. Make sure the anttenna wire is connected at both the antenna on the outside and at the back of the radio.

99% of the time, the blower motor relay, or resistor block,will be bad if the fan motor only works on high speed.

The compression tester has a plug that goes in the spark plug hole and reads the compression within the cylinder. Remove the sparkplugs. (Mark the plug wires with masking tape so you can put them back where they belong) Insert the compression tester and have someone activate the starter and roll the engine over a few times.
