It will run just fine on 87 regular unleaded. Or at altitude 85. If you want to experiment with it a bit you might try it at 89 or 91 and see if you can tell a noticeable difference.
Why doesn't a 1997 Cadillac SLS not start?
You did not say if the starter is turning the engine over or not. If so then you need to interface your computer with a computer to read the codes. That will give you a clue as to what is wrong.

Check the master switch on the driver's side door. The connections there are thin so sometimes they can come loose when the door is closed. If you are getting power at the switch after testing it, then check the window relay in the fuse compartment. If all those are fine, then it is probably the motor itself.

Under the door handle there is a plastic cover held on by velcro, pop this out. Remove the screw under this cover. Gently pry all of the plastic tabs starting at the bottom of the door panel. Work up both sides towards the top of panel. Once all are "popped" out, grab panel and pull up.

check the switch that is located on the brake pedal arm. sounds like it is out of adjustment. pull pedal up and see if switch is still engaged. not sure if this switch slides back and forth or screws in and out. back it off till lights go out with no pressure on pedal.

Do you mean MAP sensor? The Map sensor is located in the intake manifold under the plastic northstar cover. Its a little sensor that is located just to the left of the throttle body. removing this sensor requires no tools for expertise. Just unplug pull it out and replace with a new sensor.

Can you change the stereo in your 95 Cadillac Seville STS?
You can, but it's quite difficult. The "head unit" in the car is actually mostly a shell, with the tape, CD and display/control units only. The radio module itself is attached to the power antenna in the trunk, and there are amps in various places in the car as well. To put in an aftermarket system, you'll have to build extension cords for the connectors that plug into the module in the trunk to meet the outputs of the new stereo, and a long add-on cord to reach the antenna signal to the dash, too. Difficult, but not impossible.

1992-1997 Cadillac Seville Alternator removal
This is very easy, but time consuming. Start by raising the car and put on two jack stands. Remove the battery. Then the upper splash shield,"the one that covers the radiator". Under the car remove the left front frame cover "it's about a foot square" under that plate is a core support plate to remove "this is a must the alt needs the room to drop out the bottom, it's about 3x6" unplug the radiator fan motors and remove the bolts and the fans pull out from the top, you will need to unbolt & move the air bag censor also push the radiator hose out of the way. Remove all the alt. Bolts "from the battery side. Then we are back under the car with an 18" extension and a socket on a swivel. This is for the nasty bolt on the back right. You need to fish the socket from the driver's side up between the A/C and engine block. The bolt on the left side of the back you will use a wrench from the topside and back the bolt all the way out, but it will stop at the heat shield don't worry it's out enough. There are two wires to unplug. A single wire you get from the top. Don't worry it looks like there should be more wires in the plug, but just one. The other wire you unbolt from under the car. To remove the belt you take a LARGE breaker bar with a half inch extension, stick it into the idler pulley and twist, you will have just enough room to remove the belt from the alt. Now the fun part, back under the car and pull the alternator out. You will battle with this for some time around the A/C and thru the space in the core support. I took mine down to the local rebuild shop "they do alt's and starters" this cost me $100.Put it back together just the same way you took it out. Two hours time. Good luck

If is actually chrome, there is no way to repair it PROPERLY without having the whole wheel rechromed. If it is not chrome but polished aluminum, a light scratch can be sanded out. Beware though, that most newer wheels have a clearcoat over them which you will also sand off. Once that happens the repaired area will corrode.

My Haynes manual says this is how it's done. Open the trunk On early models, detach the trim panel and remove the nuts holding the light housing in place, then withdraw the housing from the vehicle On later models, the light housing runs the full width of the vehicle. Remove the nuts securing the taillight panel to the body. Pull the taillight panel out. On all models, rotate the bulb holder(s) 1/8-turn counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing, then pull the bulb out.

the amplifier is located under the center console. you have to take off the back cap, the storage compartment and locate all of the screws. You will see the amp under the metal frame. You have to unbolt that frame and move it in order to get to the amp. I just took mine out today.(not fun)

The mirror itself can be 'pulled' out of the ear by either prying the mirror of using a suction cup. If the whole ear needs to be replaced the interior door trim must be removes then there are a few bolts holding the ear in place. Good luck.
