What are some ideas for using zoo med excavator clay burrowing substrate?

this isn't really an answer, I'd just like a list of ideas for using excavator clay substrate, besides just using it for burrows. Examples would be making a bowl-like structure for a possible egg-laying site, or something like that. It doesn't have to be for breeding, and just remember, there's no bad ideas, just a choice of if i like them or not, so don't feel bad if i like someone else's ideas better than one individual.

What temperature does a mali uromastyx tank have to be?

Air temperatures on the hot side should be 120 degrees Fahrenheit and surface temperatures on the hot side should be about 140. The cool side should be about 90 degrees, and ambient temps can go down to 80 at night. You need a cage large enough to have such a gradient in (probably has to be custom built). These guys need very intense UVB light from a very expensive bulb (160 watt mercury vapor bulbs made specially for reptiles). In their native habitat, you get terrible sunburns in the shade. Humidity should be kept to a minimum. In fact, many breeders of uros don't even have water dishes. They give them water through the plant matter that should make up about 95% of their diet (should not include any type of lettuce).

How would you care for pinky's without moms cat killed there mom?

its a big job taking care of pinkies but it is possible

First, you need to keep the mice warm. Get a box that fits the mice; if there's seven, get a nice snuggly shoe box. If there is one or two, get a baby wipe box.

Step 2

Take a couple of socks, and fill them with rice. Mice, rice; get it? Keep the sock flat so they can sleep on it comfortably. Microwave it for one or 2 minutes, until it's very warm to the touch. Put it in the box and put the soft flannel material over it.

Step 3

Buy puppy or kitten formula or make your own by mixing an egg yolk with a little bit of milk and blending it very well. Put it in a bottle and let it warm in a bowl of steaming water. The formula should be warm to the touch.

Step 4

Warm the dropper so it's not cold. Gently place it between the lips of the animal and drop.

Step 5

Feed them every 2 hours, yes, even at nightime. Make sure there kept warm.

Step 6

After feeding, take a cotton ball dipped in warm water and rub the area where they go to the bathroom. The mother does this to stilulate it

How long can you run an outboard with out water?

Because the water pump on an outboard engine consist, in part, of a rubber impeller, dry running causes almost instant damage. In as little as 30 seconds the impeller can become unservicable. A run with no water for one minute or longer, in plastic housing applications, begins housing melt down and powerhead/seal damage. It is not good practice to run your outboard without water.

Why do water dragons run out the water?

I've never seen a water dragon run out of the water. Usually, they run INTO the water, or jump into it from above, when disturbed.

It's possible if the water is too shallow, and the confines too close, the dragon may not feel secure in the water and may panic when people approach, and simply try to flee in any direction.
