You have to convert your video to DVD format at first, and then add DVD menu to it, otherwise your burned DVD cannot play on normal DVD player.

It is possible to use an external ODD via USB. The Windows XP and Drivers discs come with the netbook.

The other possibility without external device is to set up an bootable USB-stick oder SD-card with a minimum size of 4GB an copy the Windows files at another computer onto the stick.

Not sure if this will help or not, but a CD gets stuck in my GM car about once a year. In order to get it out, I cut off all power to the CD player by removing the appropriate fuse for about 15 seconds. I put the fuse back in, push eject, and the CD always comes right out.

You can do this with Windows by insterting the disc to the DVD drive on your computer. Then, click the Wondows Start Menu > Computer. Go to your DVD Drive. When you double click the DVD Drive it should automatically give you the option to format the disc.

Do keep in mind that these are SI units, and 1KB = 1000 bytes. In computer units, 1 KiB = 1024 bytes.

I have the same problem, twice and last time they told me the cds were getting stuck because the CD's that were in there were "see-thru" (like those used to burn music from a computer) and that that was somehow causing the cds to get stuck, they had to get a new CD changer for me last time (of coarse then it was under warranty, now its not)

The information on a CD is digitally burned into the foil layer - which is encased in clear plastic. The laser reads through the clear layer to the foil layer. So long as the clear layer is relatively scratch-free (no deep gouges damaging the foil layer) the CD will play !

Go to: http://support.necam.com/Optical/downloads/FlashFirmware/ download the firmware upgrade and follow the directions. The software is self installing. However, it likes the DVD drive to be in the MASTER position, not SLAVE.
