Gee, I dunno. Maybe because their husband took the most sacred physical, emotional, spiritual and social bond that a woman can have with a man and completely shattered it by having sex with another woman. Earning back trust is doubly difficult, not only because trust and openness were difficult to earn in the first place (courtship) but also because once that trust was earned, the husband broke that trust, likely lying repeatedly and neglecting her/her children in terms of time and attention.

It is indescribably destructive to the personal image of the woman as well. She has likely been constantly beaten down in her attempts to get attention for her husband (why won't he hold me/touch me/talk to me like he used to? Am I ugly? Am I driving him away? From my own personal experience, my whole world cave in on me without warning. I had ignored what I was seeing towards my husband when he was having the affair. I thought everything was fine, except our sex life. Don't get me wrong from the time I met him and we got married, he wasn't really a man that loves and can seduce a woman in bed, but because I loved him, it was okay if he doesn't know how to seduce his wife. The reason why we were having a problem, after 20 odd years I finally complained to him that he never made me feel good as a woman, and he never made time for me, always gone, and always busy. Because of these, he told me that I was rejecting him.

So I didn't know he joined a dating site to look for someone that will understand him and talk to him. In short the man I marry was hungry to find women friends on a dating site. From there that's when things started with the special woman he met.

I would add that in most of these cases the person's) involved are not, or are no longer, satisfied in their current relationship; this can be from change or stagnation of the relationship.

In my own opinion it has something to do with the married man's feeling towards his wife. All of us will experience the change in our life, especially in our marriage. If our spouse is always busy with work or let just say with his personal life, he will hardly have time for his wife and maybe his children. The wife will start having this question why is her husband never had no time for her even though that most wives do stays home to take care of everything, especially the children.

Married men never realize that his hectic schedule is costing his wife that

the feeling of emptiness and feeling alone. So when the wife stop the attention, even the intimacy, that's when the husband will start looking for another person that can fulfill his needs in bed and much, much more.

The other reason why married man fell in love outside the marriage is because the woman he finds will have all the time in the world for him. This other woman will not have a lot of obligation nor like his wife, so when this happens that's when this married man will start having deep feelings for this woman.

Don't! Affairs are horrible and they can screw up families if they last long enough. If you are married and he is married than explain to your spouses that you are loosing interest. Then you can date them the right way. Just dnt make a fool of your spouse.

Back to the question, when can it be said that, the husband/wife is being unfaithful. Let's take 'belief' as the operative word for faith here. What do you understand about marriage? If you believe that marriage is to give yourself completely to your spouse, and that implication of marriage is also a union which exclude all others, and also it is usually be regarded or intended to be permanent, then any action that would risk the sanctity of the vows you have made during the solemnisation of it would be regarded as being something which is contrary to your belief at the first place about what marriage is, and that is, to me, 'Unfaithful'.

To clarify my statement, unfaithful is when you do something in contravention to your own belief and you are doing it with clear consciousness as to the nature and result of that action. Try to think this, usually when a married man were just having a conversation with another woman, it is not regarded as unfaithful so long as no feeling of infatuation and love involve, but what if that man is aware of the nature of his wife who are not able to accept that it is just a harmless chat, and that in the awareness, he still doing it, is that unfaithful?

She might not have told you because she probably thought that you would throw it way out of hand. If it was just a friendship, she didn't want you to think it was anything more. Perhaps she and he were once lovers, and she didn't want you to know about their relationship. Or maybe they still are having an affair and the "we're just friends" story is a bunch of bull.

Well first think of the question. Some one cheated on you and you still like that person. I'm not positive, but if you got really hurt from he or she cheating on you I would let that person be. If he or she broke your heart why do you still like them? Maybe you could be friends, but be very careful. Mistakes happen more than once.

She may have little to no respect for you and your relationship with him. If she wants to be with him herself, she finds nothing wrong with it because of lack of respect, or if she really just wants to break you two up, she feels that's the best way.

Maybe it's because they want more excitement in their lives. Their husband could be boring and they want to find someone more intriguing. I think if the husband is also very harsh and heartless towards the wife and mistreats them they maybe more tempted to cheat. That's just my opinion though.
