How much horsepower dose a camaro ss 2010 have?
426 hp (manual transmission)
400 hp (automatic transmission)
Which is the best trans th350 th400 or 700r4 and why?
They are all good for their intended purpose. The 700R4 has overdrive, so it can help with gas mileage, but can't withstand as much torque as a 350. The 350 is economical to rebuild, and can take a lot of abuse, but the 400 is the heaviest duty of the three. It can handle big, high performance engines with a lot of torque, but consumes more of the engine's horsepower because of it's higher reciprocating mass.
What is a air pump on a 1998 Z28?
I have an 1981 camaro and the air pump on that is an emission related part located on the front of the engine compartment. My understanding is that it pumps air to to make the engine exhaust meet the emissions requirement. These pumps are not in the older prior to computer and emissions standards. Another expensive thing next to the catalytic converter. Can thank the green groups.

Easy way to remove gas tank from a 88 Camaro?
gas tanks are usually strapped in with wo straps. there are nuts that have to be turned, counter-clockwise of course, or you could get a hold od someone from craigslist, there ARE mechanics on that site looking to fix jalopies all the time, 88? probably a jalopy, 350 car i hope
This is usually a small plugin module near the fusebox. A module from another car may or may not fit.
You need to remove the oil sending unit, and install a oil pressure gauge in it's place so you can read the actual oil pressure ( PSI ) that the pump is pumping when the engine is running. That will rule out a bad gauge in the dash. If the gauge that you installed is reading low oil pressure then you need to remove and inspect the oil pump for wear and make sure the oil pump pick up screen is not stopped up.
If pump is okay and pick up screen is good, Then you have excessive bearing clearance / wear. May be time for overhaul.
Will a supercharger from a grand prix work on a v6 camaro?
Yes and no. The motors are similar, but not the same. The non supercharged engine wont hold up for very long with a supercharger. Internally it will start to tear itself apart. Outside they are the same, but inside they have different pistons, heads, intake and whatnot. Your best bet would be to just do a full engine swap.
How do you remove back seat 1970 Chevy Camaro?
The rear seats on 2nd generation Camaros (not sure about the other generations but I believe they are the same) are 3 separate pieces: the back is one piece and the seat bottoms are separate pieces.
1. Grab the bottom seats (where you put your butt) by the sides and push towards the rear of the car (they'll move about an inch) and then yank upwards... they're held in by clips built into in the floor pan that clip directly to the seat.
2. The seat back is held in place by tabs that run along the package tray at the top and 2 bolts at the bottom. At the bottom of the seat back on each side you'll see a large bolt with a fender washer on it. (3/4"??? It's been a while I forget the size.) Remove those and slide the seat back upwards and it should come right off.
