Why would a low oil pressure light go off after an oil change on a Chevy Impala?
Assuming it was on before the oil was changed, your Impala's engine is probably leaking oil. When you fill it to the recommended level when you change the oil, there is the sufficient pressure so the o.p. sensor no longer sounds the alarm. Next time the low oil pressure light comes on, check the dipstick.
If you're oil level is where it should be, you're sensor is probably malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. It could be some other electrical problem, but then it would more than likely be accompanied with a SES light as well.
It could be a wide range of other things as well, but all I know about your car is that its a Chevy impala. If I knew the year and the engine size I could tell you what is most likely the problem.

Where is the radiator drain plug located on a 1996 Mazda Protege?
As you face the front of the car the plug is located on the back of the radiator, toward the bottom, closest to the passenger side. It is large, white and plastic. In order to see it you need to crawl under the car and look at the back of the radiator. The manual tranny version has a flathead nut, the auto has a phillips. The nut is also like a wing nut that you could twist with your fingers if you can fit them in there. Good luck!

I would check the connections for the fuel filter and then the hose leading to the tank and vent hose as well (I am talking about the hoses, not the actual fuel lines. If you are smelling gas, then you have a leak somewhere. Try putting paper or cardboard under the filter, tank, etc to see if you can identify anything leaking.

Why would the check engine light still be on after replacing the o2 sensor on a 2000 impala?
What are the codes
The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.
