The po742 is a code thrown when your impala 3.4 2005 jerks when it changes its automatic gear.

You will have to remove the gas tank and install a fuel control module. Before you do you need to have someone check for power and especially the ground for the fuel gauge.

Remove the spark plug wires from your 2000 Chevy Impala spark plugs. Remove the spark plugs with a 5/8 deep well socket by turning the socket to the left. Reverse the process to install the new spark plugs.

if it is an 8 cylinder it takes 7 almost 8 if it is a 6 it takes 5 1/2 put in 5 if 6 cyc. and then check the dip stick and if it reads low put in another 1/2 qt.

because the final drive ratio for the 3.8 is 3.29 and the 3.4 is 2.86 the computer would have to be reflashed or differentials swapped

for what? be more specific. Do you need the harness which you will need to contact a parts store for or do you need a wiring diagram? If you need the diagram what do you need it of? A chiltons or vehicly manufacter will have diagrams of all the wiring ciruits in you vehicle.

simple answer... Take it to a professional. You in all honesty have a leak in it. But if you are car savvy in any way.. You need to get a manifold guage set or a cheap recharge kit will have a tool you can use to add freon. Hook the quick connect up to the blue (lowside/suction side) port and then open your guages. turn your a/c on to max/recirc and make sure your compressor and clutch come on. If not then turn off immediatley as can burn up comressor. DO NOT OVERCHARGE SYSTEM!!!!
