What are some good ideas for babysitting 11 children?

Hi ive been doing babysitting for 4years and i too had the problem once i normally look after 10 kids but once looked after 15 so yea this info really helped me so i you

when baby sitting 11 children its important to play games that involve each one of them. other then the play it safe playground idea you can use your imagination to make up a new interactive game that involves 11 people. when selecting or creating your game you must keep in mind their age. younger kids go for the more imaginatory eg... dragons and princesses or the old favourite cops and robbers or hide and seek. its very important that u keep them active as long as possible in order to reduce the amount of energy inside of them. if they are a little older like grade 5-7 you could do some harder games such as fabric football when each student has a strip of fabric in their pants and run around having a game of football. sometimes you can just having them running around trying to get each others fabric strip. other wise there is the game with the balloon tied to your footand u run around trying to protect ur balloon without getting caught.

what about inside games - sock wrestling for the elder ones, crafts for any age... but select the standard via the age. how about doing a movie night and pizza. or u can do wii or playstation if its available wii dance games r good as they get everyone involved and kids love to dance.

for the younger ones make sure you don't put them to bed too late. you can certainly go over the time they normally go to bed... this will prob give them the means to think your pretty awesome. other then that

don't forget to have fun... kids notice when they irritated you or when you have your off day... or you simply do not want to be there so at least pretend you like to babysit them.

When I babysit kids, I try to get them outside as much as I can. Searching up fun games that you can play outside is always great, kids always get a kick from treasure or scavenger hunts too !

Make A Bubble Making Solution

Try making your own bubble making solution - Bubbles work with kids of all ages, especially if they make their own solutions. There are a few household solutions you will need but these are found in most homes. You will need dish soap like Dawn and Corn Syrup.

1/3 cup water

2 tablespoons of corn syrup

1/3 cup dish soap

Put all ingredients together into a large bowl and have the kids find their old bubble blowers. If those old bubble blowers don't show up then have fun with some of the kitchen utensils. Use anything with a hole in it, a handle, or a potato masher. Try different types of things.

Babysitting Activites & Ideas For Kids:

If you're a new babysitter or just looking for some new babysitting ideas for the kids, here's a list of some fun babysitting activities that should put a smile on any child's face:

1) Ask them what they want to do first. There's no need forcing an activity on a child that already has their mind set on something.

  • Duck, Duck, Goose!
  • Origam
  • Build A Fort- Do you remember how much fun it was when you were a kid, to build a fort out of blankets and chairs? Well even if you don't, building a fort is loads of fun for kids and really develops their imaginations. The ideas are limitless: You can pretend you're in a tent camping in the wilderness, a prince or princess in their castle, or even a bear in your cave.
  • Indoor Picnic- Another idea that is popular especially with the girls is having an indoor picnic or tea party. Simply spread a blanket on the floor, gather up some sandwiches (imaginary or real) and you're ready to start picnicking.
  • Board Games- Board Games never lose their appeal, even when we grow up. Some of the great classics kids still enjoy include Monopoly, Memory Cards, Game of Life, Mouse Trap, and many others. The great thing about board games as well is that you can enjoy them as well along with the children.
  • Coloring and Drawing- Babysitting activities for children don't have to be complicated. In fact some of the simple ideas like coloring or drawing pictures can keep kids entertained for hours. If they don't have coloring books, you could even print some free coloring book pages online before you arrive at the house.
  • Playing House- Another idea that's popular with little girls is playing house. "You be the mommy and I'll be the daddy." This one can really get kid's imaginations going as they simply love role playing. Of course, this activity might get a little tiring to you if it goes on for an extending period of time! :)
  • Hide and Go Seek- Another good old fashioned classic is hide and seek. Just make sure you outline the boundaries of where kids can and cannot hide within the house. You want to make sure safety is first and foremost in mind.
  • I Spy Clean Up- play "i spy"with the toy in a messy room and when they spy it, they get to put it away. They won't even notice they're putting toys away!
  • Jump the River- have two ropes on the ground 1 foot apart and have them try to jump over them. Everytime they make it move the ropes farther and farther apart.
  • Do The Hokey Pokey!
  • Simon Says- Simon Says is a fun game that even helps the kids with their listening skills.
  • Scavender Hunts
  • Resteraunt Role Play- Play some resteraunt role play with the older kids when you are trying to get them to eat. Babysitters be waitresses and the younger kids are their customers.
  • Play Job- the kids get to pick their ocupation and you all act it out.
  • Farm- every kid is told to make the sound of an animal and the others have to guess the animal.
  • Read the kids books! Pick all your favorite childhood books and share them with them
  • Play with blocks!
  • Sing Songs with them. Kids love to sing...sometimes the same songs over and over. These don't need to be new songs. In fact, the kid standards might be the best because there's no teaching required. Examples: London Bridge is Falling Down, Ring Around the Rosie, and Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round are all great starters.
  • Color with big fat crayons. :)
  • ct out a Play- Another great idea to get kid's imaginative juices flowing is acting out a play. This can be really fun for kids especially if they get to dress up or wear costumes. You can choose a real play like Peter Pan, or simply get the kids to make one up and then act it out for you.
  • Pop-up books- Pop-up books or other books that are interactive such as those with textures are a good choice. These are more unusual so that kids will be more interested in them. For babysitting at night when the sitter is there, books can calm a child down, helping them to fall asleep. Always bring books with you to read to them at night. Even if they can read themselves, all the kids I've ever babysat for have anticipated the books I bring to read to them. Sometimes, if the kids are 8 or 9, I encourage them to read the book to their younger sibling instead of me reading it to them.
  • Treasure hunt

Can you babysit in ottario at the age of 11?

First of all, it depends on the 11-year-old who's babysitting. If youn have experience and are pretty mature for your age, that would probably be okay. Second, it depends on the kids you're babysitting. If its just a pretty calm, well-behaved 5 year old, go for it. And last but not least, it depends on the city or town around you. If there's not much crime and not many robbers and stuff like that, an 11-year-old could most likely do that. But just make sure you yourself are ready to babysit.

What are the advantages of a snapshot observation?

Observation is the only practical way to study the natural behaviour of small children and animals, or people unable to read or speak to you. Also, the subjects usually don't even know they are being studied, and so are not able to "act up" or respond in a way that might deliberately please or annoy the researcher.

Do babies' ribs break easily?

Yes and no. That is, babies ribs are more flexible than those of an older child or adult. Otherwise, simply being born would break them. They don't typically fracture apart like ours (adults) would, instead they do what is called a 'greenstick fracture', which is similar to the way a small green branch would fracture along its length if you bent it far enough to break. It doesn't usually break into two separate pieces, but it is broken nonetheless. Hence the term 'greenstick fracture'.

While the flexibility of a baby's bones makes it more difficult for them to be broken, they would still break much more easily than an adult's bones, but even if they don't actually break, there can still be injury to internal organs if such force is applied that their bones must bend to absorb it.

All in all, babies are much more resilient than many people might think, but they are still only babies and cannot and should not be subjected to such forces that would be safe for adults.

Food for thought; an impact of only 7 km/h is sufficient to fracture a baby's skull.

What are some good consequences for a 12 year old?

Being grounded from the computer, television, or phone are all good punishments. At twelve, friends are all that really matter, so that would help them think twice about something they've done.

You have red hair and the dad has brown hair what hair color will the baby have?

That depends on the genes possessed by both parents. If the dad has lighter haired parents, it MAY be possible for the child to have red hair, since red is a recessive trait. However, I'd say chances are good that the child will be blonde or have light brown hair.

Why it is important to give all Children the opportunity to be heard and how you do this in a Group?

Giving a child the chance to talk and be heard helps the child speak, and know that what he says is important. It goes a long way to help his self esteem. It is also good for the other children. They learn to relate to each other and value each other. It also is a good way of figuring out what is going on in a child's mind.

A great way is the tried and true circle time. It does not have to be first thing in the morning but by being the first thing, the children will acclimate to child care easier. It will set the tone for the day. The adult can use this time after all the children have spoken to tell them what they will do that day. Just be prepared, you never know what they will talk about lol

In New Jersey, you would not need a licence to care for 4 children. Child care centers provide care for six or more children below 13 years of age who attend less than 24 hours a day. Child care centers are required by state law to be licensed.

How much should you charge for pruning hedges?

How can you get experience working with children?

Most people get their first experience with children by babysitting in their neighborhood. After that, there are many opportunities: volunteer at your church, help out with clubs like the Scouts and school or church clubs, help with camps, volunteer at a children's hospital, volunteer to be a Big Brother or Big Sister, volunteer to read to children at a school or library. Once you get some experience, you can find paying jobs such as working with a daycare or camp, or tutoring after school and during summer.

Why kindness is important for working with children?

Because children have soft, easy-to-break feelings! You need to go soft with them. You might not like it if a giant came up to you and started screaming at you.
