the simplist way to get to the top motor is to simply remove the back seat by pulling out the bottom piece and unbolting the back rest. there are two bolts located at the bottom of the back rest and you need a 10mm socket wrench to remove them. after you have the back out just lift up the flap of insulation anf the motor is the little canister right in front of you.

Open the trunk. The motor is on the shelf just beyond the back of the trunk. It can also be accessed inside the car from behind the back seat. If you cannot operate the motor to raise the top it can be forced by hand. It will be difficult and slow but you will not break anything because the the mechanism is hydraulic. With the top raised kneel on the back seat and unsnap the vinyl drip shield behind the seat. Remove the hard panel underneath to expose the motor. There is a relay mounted next to it. If the motor doesn't run the relay might be bad. It should make a clicking sound when the switch is pressed. Check fuse first of course. If the relay clicks the motor is probably bad but can be fixed. Usually what happens is the brushes inside wear down until their springs no longer apply enough pressure to make contact. Take the motor apart carefully. Make sure you don't lose the bushing on the end of the shaft. Remove the brushes, stretch the springs and reassemble. This can be done without unsoldering anything, but it's tricky. If you can replace the brushes do that. I don't know if new brushes are available.

Low fluid level, stopped up filter, or a very serious transmission or torque converter problem.

Leroy, you have it right. My 1993 LeBaron Princessmobile blew the fuel pump 1.75 years ago. The pump comes out of the center of the top of the gas tank, down about 8 to 12 inches into the tank. For those who want to know where the fuel filter is, it is on the right-forward edge of the gas tank. Changing either one requires access to the tank, and for the pump, the tank must be removed. I SOOO didn't want to mess with 12 gallons of gasoline, so I took it to a reputable mechanic. Good luck to you, and blessings,

My 89 lebaron 2.5 non turbo has the ZF (plastic reservoir) power steering pump.....and I need to find a replacement as the low pressure line has broken off!

Chrysler does not use inertia or shut off switches. The fuel system is computer controlled with relays.

Lower passenger side of the firewall.

The fluid could be leaking from the pump, hoses, or steering rack. Wash the steering system, then you can see where the leak is coming from.

V6, inside the passenger side of the engine. Driven by the timing belt.

Four cylinder, below the alternator on the front.

One of your bulbs is burned out. Replace it and test. To determine which one turn on your signal and see if one bulb stays lit with the other not doing anything. Otherwise, check them both and replace the one with a bad filament.

Same principle for all models.. top rear of engine on left hand side 1. Disconnect neg terminal on the battery 2. undo wires to back of alternator. 3. Undo pivot bolts and adjuster, loosen and slip off drive belt and remove. Remember to take old unit when you go to get new alternator. Installing is the reverse Total time.. 20 mins

look on the inside of cover or lid .It should have diagram .If not ,there is a diagram in owner's manaul

Your coolant level is low.

Four cylinder, it is on the back of the engine under the exhaust manifold.

Six cylinder it is on the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold.

there are 2 ports on the air conditionig lines find low side (or condensor)

first start car ,then turn on a/c to max cool.remove cap on condensor(low side) connect refrigerent to be added by hose that fits and let run until full 30 minutes or longer

You can check by attaching gage to condensor port

Low side port on 1991 Le Baron is on the compressor. High side is near condenser, up front of car.

Oil filter numbers vary by brand. Here are a few: Pennzoil- PZ34 Fram- PH16, DG-16 (Double Guard), HM-16 (High Mileage), TG16 (Tough Guard) Bosch Standard 72138, Bosch Premium 3402, Mobil M1204 K&N HP2004 Hope this helps/ These are numbers for a 93 Chrysler Lebaron with the 3.0. It is on the passenger side inner fender almost directly behind the engine mount on that side.

To replace the fuel pump on the 1989 Chrysler LeBaron, first you will need to disconnect the battery terminals. Then, empty the fuel tank completely and remove the pump from inside of the tank by releasing the tank straps to lower the tank. You then use a brass drift and hammer to drive the lock ring counter clockwise to loosen the pump.

The top one should connect to the rear valve cover (nearest the firewall), while the lower one is meant to help drain any water that may wind up in the filter housing. Notice that the lower hose is too short to connect to anything nearby. Hope this helps.

I think Chrysler has always put the fuel pump in the fuel tank. I have a 95 drop top Lebaron and I have to install my new pump inside.

It should be under the car, just in front of the tank.

If your car has an automatic transmission, there will be a short dipstick near the front (radiator side) of the transmission. With the transmission warmed up (go for a short drive), park on a level surface, and with the transmission in park or neutral and engine running, pull the dipstick out and check the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick.

Gran Turismo Compressore/Compact/Cabriolet/Coupe/Crossover or Gran Turismo Corse (means racing) ..I have a GTC convertible and I would think it would be Coupe.
