Superman is from the planet Krypton. He is one of the last survivors from there since it exploded.
He's not considered one of the X-Men nor part of the Brotherhood. Meaning: he's neutral.
Basically he is a mercenary, which means that he will do whatever the person paying him tells him to. He does however have a consience and so is often seen working with the "good guys."
Technically, Deadpool is a mercenary, thus at the end of the day, it's all about who is signing the checks. He has been shown as being a member of the latest X-Force, though.
The only name ever given for Asterix is Asterix (or Astérix in the original French). He is also referred to as Asterix the Gaul (or Astérix le Gaulois) but this is more of a description than a given name.

Batman, the original solo superhero, had quite a few partners.
He had five Robins: Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne. Dick was the first, and Bruce adopted him after his parents died. He was the ferst person he revealed his other identity to, and Dick was eager to join him. He eventually grew up to become Nightwing, and move to his own city. Even later than that, he becomes the new Batman. Jason Todd was the second Robin, and was killed by Joker. Batman felt lots of guilt in Jason's death, but he later came back as an anti-hero called Red Hood. Tim actually figured out that batman was Bruce Wane. He convinced him that Batman needed a Robin. Bruce reluctantly agreed to train him. Tim's father found out about his son being Robin and forced him to stop. Stephanie Brown quickly took his place. After Tim's father died, he returned to his place as Robin, and Stephanie became the Spoiler. Years later, Talia al Ghul leaves her son with his father, Batman. He becomes Robin at the age of ten, and works with Dick (as Batman) for a while. Somehow, he convinces himself that the legacy of Batman can be inherited and tries to steal the title from Dick.
Batman also had two Batgirls. The first was Barbera Gordon, Commissioner Gordon's daughter. She worked with Batman for years before she was shot point blank by the Joker, loosing the use of both her legs. She took on the guise of Oracle, as a base in the Batcave and director of everything there. Cassandra Cain took the title of Batgirl, but was said to have died.
The Spoiler worked as a kind of vigilante and Batgirl. Stephanie Brown, as seen above, was the daughter of the Cluemaster. she set out to "spoil" her father's plans, and teamed up with the Batman. Stephanie served as a love intrest to Tim Drake, but was seemingly killed only to come back later.
Huntress, or Helena Bertinelli, was the daughter of a prominent Mafia family, and witnessed the murder of the rest of her family at the age of 19. She campaigned against crime and received martial arts training similar to Bruce/Bats did. However, Batman never really accepted her because he reminded him of Barbra Gordon who fought crime with him. Huntress was a part of the Justice League for a short time before quitting (or being fired from the League, whatever version you come across,) and goes it on her own. Later, she joins the Birds of Prey, and also appears in the Hush storyline, saving Batman after a fall from his batrope. She has often been unconfident in herself, and Batman thinks to himself how she is, "so much like I was when I started out", and "she's better than she knows..."
The Gotham Police Force worked against Batman for some time until Commissioner James Gordon was called in and took over. He brought his teenage daughter with him to the city and established a bond of trust with Batman. The famous pice of communication was the Batsigmal. The Batsignal is basically a searchlight pointing to the sky with the bat logo silhouetted on it.
Batman has been known to team up with villains in order to crack a case in which he could otherwise not solve too.
