How good is Intel core 2 quad Q8300 processor?
Well, it all depends.
What is the video card that comes with it? You need at least a GeForce 8000 series of equivalent ATI Radeon series. If none is listed that means you have an Intel card which is very bad!
How much ram does it have? For Vista you can get by with 1G of ram but 2G is strongly recommended. For XP 512MB is ok but 1G is better. 2G on XP won't help. If none is listed turn away immediately.
Lastly, what OS does it come with? If it is any version of Vista (home basic, ultimate, etc..) you should consider buying a copy of XP. Vista has too many things running in the background and has rearranged all the settings. On a Pentium 4HT 3Ghz the boot time for vista is significantly longer. For a cheap way to get XP go to newegg.com and search XP Pro OEM of XP Media Center OEM.
Finally, if you know how to, build a PC. By buying a PC from HP you loose many advanced BIOS features that can help.
What shapes have 4 line's of symmetry?
The square is the only one I can think of. The lines are vertical, horizontal, and both diagonals.
How big is Random Access Memory?
However big it says on the tin! 8 bits (characters) make one byte. One thousand and twenty four bytes make a kilobyte. One thousand and twenty four kilobytes make a megabyte. One thousand and twenty four megabytes make a gigabyte. That is a lot of characters that can be stored on one gig of RAM!
Assuming you are buying RAM here is a rough guide for the minimum amount you want: 2Gb for vista, 1Gb for Mac OSX, 512Mb for Linux or Xp. Hope that helps!
You can get it online.. Try Ebay! best place to buy Netbooks online
My mum said if you play the laptop or computer for too long or if you go on it everyday, it drys out your skin and you get old faster. And also, everyone knows it's bad for your eyes~ if that was the answer your looking for?

No, you cannot put a PC processor on a laptop. There are many reasons why. Here are some:
Laptops in general need to be in cool running conditions (ventilated area etc)
Who makes alienware computers?
Yes. Dell has bought out alienware a couple of years ago and now produce alienware computers. And i have done some research on it and it does seem as if now you have the full system restore on alienware computers, so if your alienware computer has major problems you can system restore it back to its original state. very handy.
Where are all the computers manufactured?
Intel makes most of the chips. Their headquaters are in Santa Clara, California, USA. But they might make their chips in China or Japan; I'm not sure. Most computer parts that are made in America are made in California. But more and more of it is being made in China, Japan, and Taiwan.
Most of branded computer is produced in Asia, like Malaysia, Philiphina, Thailand and China. The countries have low labor cost are compared with Europe and America. This is business strategy, to make their product can compete in the market because the product are produced with low cost, so they can sell the product is not expensive and cheap.
How much did a DOS system cost?
DOS computers are no longer sold on the mainstream market. Dell sells some barebones computers bundled with FreeDOS, due to licensing restrictions, but most of the hardware would be unusable in DOS.
Quite frankly, you can probably buy an old, used computer with the hardware to run most DOS programs for about 10 bucks. Any Pentium II or Pentium III with an ISA slot (for a SoundBlaster card) should be good enough to run most applications that are not timing-dependent. On a commercial scale, you would almost certainly want to get a contract with an embedded systems design company to build "new" DOS computers.
What is the average cost of a home computer?
Depending on the model, hardware speed and capacity of disk drives, and type of software you use. They should be around USD$400-500. Most likely, they will not be the most advanced machines, but I am sure they can do most of the work typically required at home like presentations, project research, email and web surfing. However, if you need more than that, like good home entertaining system and play games, as well as edit movies, it could be as high as USD $1000 or more inclusive of software listed below. Choice of software make difference. For example, Windows, you need about $100 USD for Vista Home Basic and more for other advance versions such as Vista Home Premium (Similar to Windows XP Media Center Edition, only it is her upgrade.). Mac OS X - Good for editing movies and images and home entertainment system if you do not like Microsoft for any reasons - Virus, high system Requirements etc where Mac user will not face these problems in general, cost about $125 USD for the piece of software but limited availability of the choice of games. Linux on the other hand, this software usually free. Yes $0 and freedom of usage even though there are paid versions (Less than $100) for various technical support, manuals and other advantages. However, they generally could not play as much games as Windows too. Neither do they make a good movie editors and home entertainment systems despite their ability to play almost all types of music like other systems mentioned above.
Why Dell computer was started?
I think he started by repairing computers and selling them from the back of his car. He actually bought an Imac broke it and then tried to fix it into a PC of his own.

When buying a computer how much GHz do you need?
The answer can be "the fastest you can afford" or "it depends on what you want the computer to do."
Speed in computers (usually expresed as Ghz) is a measurement of how fast they can calculate. If you are buying a general purpose computer, buy what you can afford. If you have a special purpose in mind (a web server or a home server) then you can probably buy an older, less powerful computer that will meet your needs for considerably less money than a new computer.
What are the good things about toshiba laptops?
I have a Toshiba L305D-S5934 (AMD version), which I've had for about 2 years.
Toshiba's seem to be very dependable and pretty durable. Besides the occasional keyboard cleaning (It's simple to pull apart), I haven't had any issues yet with it. Mine came with an AMD 2ghz, ATI 3200 graphics so it actually runs cooler than the Intel version, which means more battery time for me.
The screen is bright and easily readable, and the keyboard is comfortable, very responsive, with a slight click.
Sound and speakers are decent and clear, but not the best. (My son has an Acer which sounds like an AM radio.. so I'm not complaining!)
FYI - I got the extended warranty thru Best Buy... waste of money for me... never needed it.
I'd recommend doing your research, find out what your needs are and what you plan to use the laptop most of the time for, and of course, ask questions.
Good Luck!!
What factors should be considered when purchasing a computer system?
Age is everything. Computers are like a fine wine. They get smoother and more robust with age.
But seriously... You must look first at what software you wish to run on the computer and find out its mininum and recommended hardware requirements.
A computer has many components of which the main ones are:
Memory (RAM)
Memory (Hard drive size)
Processor (speed)
Video card
Get at least the recommended hardware to match the software requirements.
Dell how many computers are made in day?
The word computer encompasses a wide range of electronic processors, which are found in about half of the things you can see right now from your desk.
Millions of computer chips are produced in a day.
If the question is how many computers the company dell makes in a day, first I'd recommend going back to elementary English, but then I'd say that dell doesn't actually make computers, they outsource production to Asian countries who make computers and ship them back to the states, where the dell logo is added. Your low quality generic computer made for idiots is a product of slave labor. I hope you're happy.
When is the best time of year to buy a desktop computer?
Probably January because it's when shops are throwing out old things. Well having a sale anyway.
However many computer stores have great sales during the back-to-school time of year and just before Christmas too. The best bet is to just figure out what you want and keep walking for a great price on it.
Is a 2GB memory computer good?
Yes! 2GB is a good Amount of RAM depending on your Operating System, In Windows Vista Or 7 Minimum Is 1GB and Recommended is at least 2GB, but on XP you might only need 1GB. But this depends on what programs you run and if you are a do heavy multitasking or not. Remember, The More The Better! Gaming should be around 4GB to 8GB depending on the games you play running windows 7 or higher.
Hope this Helps! :)
