Toshiba makes decent computer, but recently in my opinion they have been going down hill a bit.
- D.E.F Edit: Since Toshiba does not make their own internals, i.e. motherboard, processor (anything else of importance relating to the machine itself.). The real question to look at is, "do they make decent screens"? The screen is made by Toshiba, but i'm not even sure that the case structure is made by them. I would say that if you're picking Toshiba over an Acer, and they have the same specs, it's going to be just as good as any other pc out there.

What is the fastest computer that is not a super computer and available to the average citizen?
The fastest computers are constantly changing. Even if I knew the answer right now, I would be wrong next week. Most the fastest computers today are designed for high performance gaming from companies such as Alienware.
Alienware computers are the best computers you can buy with the latest technology in them. But with the latest technology, comes a big price. So make sure you are spending your money wisely, I was going to get an alienware computer but I've been looking at iBuypower and CyberPower computers so I'm not too sure if I'm going to buy an alienware anymore. I can get a computer for like 2/3s of the price I was thinking of and they don't come with moniters so you have to buy your own screen.
Where do dell computers originate?

Can i buy a laptop under 30 dollars?
This is just a guess but well...NO...but wait unless you live in India they have laptops ranged from 30-39$$$
Maybe on one of those bidding websites, where each time somebody bids, the price goes up by a penny or nickel or something. I will not mention any names, but I'll tell you kind-of how it works. You have to buy bids (they cost from $0.50 to $1.00 or so). Each time somebody bids, some amount of time is added to the expiration of the auction. So the winning bidder may have only won the item for $30, but there may have been 500 people who bid on the item - so at even $0.50 per bid, that would be an additional $250 to the auction company.

Why is Microsoft trying to push Vista OS so desperately knowing that the OS is bad?
Because no one will buy it otherwise. Microsoft wants people to buy their product.
Also, though Vista has some horrible flaws, there are some good things about it. "Vista is crap" and "Vista is perfect" are both wrong. True, it likely will not install on your XP machine and/or it could cause you to lose all your data and/or it will have random bugs, but if you get a pre-installed Vista machine you will get a chance to see all the features they ripped off of Mac OS X. And also your kind of question and my kind of answer (or really almost anything which address the issue, no matter how balanced or one-sided) is the kind that draws a flame war, something I want to avoid.
How much is the Intel Core 2 Duo?
That is a type of processor so there is more than one. For more information click on the links that look like theseon the following web site. View desktop processor specifications View laptop processor specifications they might be smaller on their website.
While both of those have certain models that would determine very important features. I looked at the lowest end model for each and HP was better. So assuming that applies for each price group, I'd go with HP.
My computer specs are:
OS: Windows 7 ultimate
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz
Ram: corsair 6.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 398MHz
Motherboard: Packard Bell BV CLR0 (Socket 775)
Graphics card: 768MB GeForce 8800 GTX (nVidia)
HDD: 352GB Seagate ST3360320AS ATA Device (SATA)
I want to be able to run pretty graphical intense games and do video encoding quickish and also use it for programs.
I dont really have a budget in mind but lower cost the better plus I would want water cooling (who doesn't)
Toshiba satellite (if you're a PC person) or a MacBook (if you're a MAC person) I myself was in your boat not to long ago, but what was even worse for me was that I am technologically challenged. I basically needed a computer to write essays, check e-mails, youtube, watch movies online, download notes, itunes, and zshare. I had been using PCs my entire life until I was in finals and my Gateway (which I had for 5 years) totally crashed, the screen gave out, and replacing it would cost around $700 & up. My uncle lent me his MacBook, and I fell in love with it. I was under the impression that Macs are awful because they are for artsy people, they are hard to use, and are not compatible with anything, but I was very wrong. They are amazing! The only thing that is annoying is that there is no specific right click button on the laptop, you have to press "control and the trackpad" aside from that, I didn't find any problems, them again, my knowledge on computers is very limited. Good luck finding a laptop suited to your needs! Hope my recommendation helped a bit.
you just need to know how to get drivers for your wireless receiver unless theyr already installed. if they are installed there is something at the bottom right of the taskbar that you can open "wireless networks" connect anyway when you try connecting
