All COMPONANTS have been checked and or changed. It has to be in the motherboard, possibly an issue with the PCI/ISA slot.

Network engineers are the backbone of the computer infrastructure of a company. Large companies are able to employ many network engineers, while smaller ones often need to hire a consulting group. These engineers update a computer network and fix problems whenever they arise. If you want to become a network engineer, you need a love of computers as well as terrific problem-solving skills. == Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science. == Step 1 Study a computer-related field in college. Despite the name, network engineering doesn't require an engineering degree. You could also study a completely different major and minor in information technology.

Step 2 Get a job at your university's office of information technology. Most large schools hire student IT support to work in both classroom and dorm environments. These jobs generally require 1 to 2 years of computer-related study and are a great way to build your resume.

Step 3 Learn to use all different kinds of operating systems. Most network administration computers use a different operating system than the office computers and company laptops. You'll need to be familiar with all of them in order to become a network engineer.

Step 4 Look for an internship with the IT department of a company or with a computer consulting firm. The number of students majoring in computer-related fields is growing, so you will need experience to help you stand out from the pack.

Step 5 Work on your communication skills. If you become a network engineer, you'll often have to work with people who aren't as tech-savvy as you. You should learn to explain computer problems in straightforward language. Consider taking an acting, improv or speech class to hone your communication skills.

Hotfix files can be removed but not recommended in case something happens in a new update and have to revert to an older update. Many of the Hotfix files/programs can be found in the add/remove programs list. From there you should be able to delete them. The files also like to hang out on other places within windows so you need need to do a file search to find them all.

A 'live up date' is when updating is set to be automatically downloaded and installed on a computer when an update is available. Such an update is usually done in the background.

The screws generally come with the case. These will include the screws and mounts needed to separate your mainboard from the case to prevent shorting. As for cables, it depends on the vendor. Retail mainboards usually include everything you need to make the board work, but if you have extra drives, you'll have to get them separately if they didn't come with.

If you buy a retail processor, it'll include a generic fan for you to use with it. OEM processors usually leave it up to you to purchase the fan separately; the CPU will come in a plastic case and it's just the processor.

Some tips:

1) Get a decent case. Cheap cases are a nightmare to work with. Spend the $60 instead of the $30.

The primary means of storage of a computer is the RAM memory which is a volatile memory.

The UAC prompt is a new feature that was released with Vista. UAC translates to User Access Control and it controls what programs on your PC can access files onto your computer.

If your keyboard is still malfunctioning once it has completely dried out then chances are it will never work properly.

Two things to do first:

Rule one, remove ALL cards/peripherals except video if there's no on board video system.

Boot into safe mode.

If it boots and shows a video screen, then add one peripheral back at a time.

In general, simply booting into safe mode with all peripherals installed, usually allows a system to run. The device manager can then be used to check/configure/disable peripherals. Look for red "X"'s or yellow "!"s and see what's wrong there.

If using Windows or _nix, the OS should auto-detect all hardware.

Maximally, you can remove all cards, unplug all IDE devices as in CD/DVD ROM drives, floppy drives, and hard drives, and see what POST codes or errors come up.

If the FDD I/F and floppy drive are functioning, try booting with an ordinary or better yet, a diagnostic DOS boot floppy and perform basic system tests like a RAM test and tests of other parts of the system. Most systems come with diagnostic floppies or CD-ROMS.

Remove all RAM except one stick (or two if you have RDRAM)... Sometimes incompatible RAM will prevent a BOOT and putting in only one stick, or two RDRAM sticks of the exact same type can eliminate compatibility issues. You can also try individual sticks of memory from different manufacturers in case some RAM is not working with the system.

Basically remove as much hardware as possible to see if the system will POST, then add things back one at a time until it again fails to POST.

If there are still problems, clear the CMOS RAM using the motherboard jumper, if available, or if an old system without one, remove the battery for 15 seconds or so.

Check the CMOS battery. Is it dead? Even then, the system should POST and throw up an error alerting you that CMOS memory has been lost, but would still POST with all the BIOS settings lost and reverting to defaults.

Many systems, have three CMOS jumper settings: Normal, Clear CMOS, and "recovery mode". As a last resort, though very unlikely, the BIOS might be corrupt. Using this as a last resort, putting the jumper into "recovery mode" will force the system to boot from a BIOS install floppy and will replace the BIOS with a new copy. This is highly unlikely, however, to be the cause of the problem and is not recommended for troubleshooting.

If the system still fails to boot, then something major like the power supply or CPU or other motherboard component is dead.

Swapping parts would be the next step. Start with the power supply. If you have a CPU of the same model from another working computer, that can be swapped out as well.

Try to find out what the BIOS is complaining about by writing down the beeps if they occur, or on-screen errors. If you get a video screen with errors, the system is basically functioning. If you get no video and only beeps, the number of beeps will indicate a specific error which would have to be looked up in the manuals or at the manufacturer's website. If there's no beeping, drive activity, and everything is just dead when powering on, except the fans, there could be a dead CPU or other major chip, or possibly some of the power supply outputs are bad. Finally, if NOTHING is running, including fans, then definitely the power supply would be the first thing to check. The power supply voltages would have to be measured with a voltmeter and verified.

Well, its quite simple: Windows Updates.

Let me explain it,

When windows updates is activated it will check for updates at 3 o clock midnignt, because of the default settings.

You wont notice this when your pc is off. However, your pc will go on when its in hybernate or sleep mode.

Just totaly shutdown the pc to prevent this, or change the windows update settings.

For a laptop yes, it may overheat. The fans tend to be on the bottom of the laptop itself and kind of defeats the purpose of the name "laptop" because they advise you not to put on soft surfaces such as blankets or sometimes even your lap.

It sounds like there is a major fault on the mother board.

You don't say if it is a laptop or a desk top.

If it is a laptop then the problem is terminal requiring a new motherboard.

If it is a desk top, it could be that the graphics card is not plugged in properly.

With the computer off, lift the lid and try relocating any cards plugged into the motherboard's PCI slots.

a lightning strike is a surge of power. a surge protector is used so the surge protector blows up instead of your pc.

Sags and Brownouts are not my strong point, but i think its possible to get an electricity cleaner. the best tool to use, is a UPS (uninteruptable power supply).

You might be using an italics font. In that case, you would need to go to the Control Panel and change it.

That happened to me one time. If you see that happening, do not worry. There is no reason to panic. It's just a simple glitch. It's harmless.

For Laptop: open it up, checking the cable whether is lose or not: might need a technical repair if you damaged the screen, like dropping it on the floor.

For desktop: Make sure the VGA cable is not lose, its the one that connects your monitor onto your PC, if you have damage it somehow, you can get a repair or buy a new one.

It might be the resolution problem, try change the resolution to recommended or highest in screen resolution setting, this apply to desktop and laptop. On the desktop monitor some of it will contain button on the monitor, you can try adjust resolution on that.
