I think what your computer has a virus. If you don't want to spend any money you could run a clean install, but that would wipe out everything on the computer and you would have to rerun the start up disk. Or if you spend a good chunk of money, you could get a professional to open up the command prompt to remove the virus.

Your computer may have the Ezula virus, that's what my computer had and it did the same thing.

A program is essentially a set of files. To remove a program that "Add or Remove Programs" cannot find, you need to delete the files. If you cannot find those files, it is likely that the program has already been uninstalled.

If you are running windows this is easy if you have not permanently deleted what you want..

Just click on the recycle bin and you will see a list of everything you have deleted.

Click on what you want to restore and click on "restore this item". It will go back to where it was when you deleted it.

If you have emptied your wastebasket it will be really hard to get something back.

I don't think this problem is related to a virus, most likely this is a hardware relate issue.

Here are some troubleshooting tips.

Test your laptop with an external monitor attached to the VGA port. If the external video is working fine then most likely there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or video card and the problem is somewhere inside the laptop display panel. Most likely you have a bad LCD screen.

I doubt that this problem is related to the video cable because when you have a bad video cable it affects video on the whole screen, not just on the part of the screen.

I guess you'll have to replace the laptop screen.

These files are more likely to include viruses.

Safe attachments include:

· .GIF - short for Graphics Interchange Format.

· .JPEG - is a common image format, it is named after Joint Photographic Experts Group. This type of file format is very useful for the use of images in web applications.

· .WAV - short for Waveform audio format, also known as Audio for Windows. It is a file format useful for storing audio files in your PC.
