Is contact lens a medical device?
Yes the contact lens is a medical device and you need a prescription form an eye doctor to order them (especially online).
I had the same problem. Every time I saw the lense coming towards my eye I blinked. I was told to look towards my nose as I looked in a mirror then place the lense on the white part of the eye ball. Once it is set on the white part tilt your head towards the ceiling and close your eye, then with your eyes closed move your eye ball back and forth. This should make the lense move in the right place over your eye. If after doing this, it still doesn't feel right make sure the lense isn't inside out. Once you get used to the feeling it'll become easier. Here's another suggestion from a WikiAnswers contributor:
* When I was putting in my contact lenses it took 2 weeks for them to actually get into my eyes. The tip that helped me was getting really close to the mirror so that I could see exactly where my eyeball and contact lens was. Previously I would just look at the mirror and lift the lens approximately to my eye and suddenly blink. Getting close to the mirror made it much easier because it gave my reflexes the belief that I was not trying to blind myself, but insert a contact lens.
No, floaters are debris suspended in the semiliquid vitreous humor that fills the eyeball, helping maintain it spherical shape. Everyone has some floaters.
Contacts have no effect on the development of floaters (nor do glasses) as they are outside the eyeball thus not in contact with the vitreous humor where the floaters are.

Why should you avoid wearing contact lenses while working with chemicals?
if a chemical gets into your eye your contact lenses in your eyes will burn. if this happens remove your contacts immediately, clean them and leave them out for the rest of the day. trust me I have contacts
Certain chemicals can evaporate quickly and become airborne, and with gas-permeable lenses, the chemical can become concentrated directly on the eyeball, essentially trapped between the lens and the iris, and burn the surface of the eyes. As well, in the case of potential chemical spills and splashes, some chemicals can melt the polymer plastic used in the contact lens and fuse it to the eye.

READING A PRESCRIPTION CORRECTLY YOU JUST HAVE TO MEMORIZE DIFFERENT ABBREVIATIONS USED (most come from Latin). If the doctor writes "sig:" (some DO NOT), that means "these are my directions or instructions" For pills, tabs and capsules it may say: PO (by mouth), ac (before meals), PC (after meals), QD (once a day) BID (twice a day), TID (three times a day), QID (four times a day), at or @HS (at bedtime [hour of sleep]).
FOR DROPS: gtt is drop, gtts is drops, AS is left ear, AD is right ear, AU is both ears.....OS is left eye, OD is right side, OU is both eyes..........PRN is "as needed", as in 1 tab QID PRN pain. There are more, but these are the most used and all I can remember right now!

Bionic eye lens will probably come out in 9-10 years, scientists are still developing them; it takes loads of work making one.
werid you say that..i just started wearing them..: take your left middle finger and use it to lock the top of your eyelid open..dont let go. Now take you right middle finger to lock the bottom. Now use you right index finger and thumb to PINCH it out..dont jump! it should hurt because the contact is there and you should feel the pain nerves. just pinch it right out and try not to use your nails. and then use the same hands for the next eye.
