What measures can be taken to reduce cyberbullying?

I don't know what measures you initially mean. But here are some measures you can take:

Don't use social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter.

If you do use them, only add your friends, if you want to avoid bullying don't add people you know will bully you.

Confront the people who are doing it to you, see if they have the bottle to say it to you face.

Try not to stand out as much, cyber bullying could be a result of how you act in school or when around people.

Is cyber bullying overrated?

  • No, cyber bullying is not overrated and is on the rise. Some States in the U.S. and also some Provinces in Canada now have task forces in the police department that solely aim at catching cyber bullies. Laws are beginning to change mainly because there have been so many young people taking their lives over cyber bullying or being bullied at school. Facebook is another open arena for cyber bullying. Technology is wonder in many ways, but it has opened trap doors for degenerates who bully to stalkers to find their victims and hide behind their computers or texting to harass their victims.

Average UK Wage?

£521 for men and £421 pounds per week for women Hi Scunfarmer; thanks for your answer; (above), but I'm cynical of the reliability of the sources for your UK, average, adult income figures. * your figures add upto an average, income of approx' £25,000 p.a. This is only £5000 below the UK government's quoted 'household, average, income figure' and the government's 'household' apparrently contains 2 adults. So I think that MP's have mislead the Public on the average adult, income by around 100 per cent. I think it's important to the current extremely wealthy MP's deceitfully to suggest that the average, adult income is about £500 p.w because then MPs salaries of about £1250 p.w. don't look so democraticaly disgusting. Where as; were MP's to publish the true, average, adult income figure which i think is about £250 p.w. then the MP's starting salary of about £1250 p.w. does look disgusting particularly to those people that realise both that the first part of everyones income has to go on the essentials and that MPs still pretend to be a democratic government I.e a government by the People for the People rather than a plutocracy which is a government only by the wealthy. Id appreciate it if you would check out the source for your figures.

What are two things you can do to prevent cyberbullying?

There are a number of ways one can prevent cyber bullying. Don't use your full name on websites so you cannot be found as easily. Only contact people on the internet that you know and trust in real life. When an anonymous user begins to send threatening or scary messages, there is usually an option to report the user or to block them. If there is no such option, leaving the site for good is the way to go. Tell an adult you trust about the cyber bullying and you can discuss ways to avoid the situation again.

Bullying is often described as a form of harassmentperpetrated by an abuser who possesses more physical and/or social power and dominance than the victim.

The victim of bullying is sometimes referred to as target.

Bullying can occur not only in schools, but also in the workplace, home, church, neighborhoods, the military, in college, and anywhere where people interact socially.

Furthermore, anyone can be a victim of bullying, not only children.

Cyberbullying

In recent years, since the invention of the Internet, and its ease of access, students in schools have been using a different type of bullying, Cyberbullying.

In few words, cyberbullying is bullying through the use of internet services and systems. Bullying can occur by one student directly attacking the target via e-mail, blogs, chat or text messaging.

How do you annoy someone in class?

what you do is if you have a really annoying parent and you want to get them back... when they make their beds, turn the bed sheets upside down and the wrong way round, open all their closet drawers and cupboards. move all their stuff around and put little stuff like toothbrushes in the wrong pot or place. dont make it too obvious otherwise they would know and suspect you within a day. if one night for example they make something like a meal for themselves and it is your favourite, when they turn the oven on, turn it off, and thinkin that its already cooked, two hours later they come back, to find that the cookers not even on! keep moving one pair of shoes to a different place. keep doing stuff like this and in one week, they would go bizerke! deny all actions taken! soon they'll be posting stuff on this about ghosts and spirits! good luck

What are the effects of cyber bullying on the bully?

  • Cyberbullying is bullying by texting and emailing people to embarrass them and hurt their feelings. Texting is the most popular way.Cyber or internet bullying is where you are being bullied over the computer. This can be done by people leaving messages on websites, Bebo's, Facebook, my-space and even general bullying over messenger programs. This can really hurt a persons feelings and is not a good thing to do as it just shows cowardliness. Most bullies, when stood up to, will back off and leave you alone. If you are being bullied you can however save the comments or conversation and show it to police officers. It is unlikely that they will do a lot but it can result in them confiscating the bully's computer and things similar to that.Cyberbullying is when you go to places like chat rooms, or other places where you can connect with people and the people that you talk to say mean things or offensive types of stuff or sometimes sexual comments and things that just make you feel uncomfortable. An example would be if you were talking to someone you didn't know in a chat room and they say something nasty. It is very scary and cyberbullying should be stopped and if that is happening to you, tell someone you trust and let them take care of it and don't go to that place again!

The point is you can really hurt some bodies feelings.

Why is cyberbullying wrong?

Cyberbullying is wrong because it makes people sad and can make people self harm. Thus it can severely damage peoples lives. It can also develop into more than just cyberbullying, the victim may feel they can't leave their homes, even to see close well trusted friends. Some victims feel they have no alternative but to end their lives, but if only they could confide in someone the bullying could be stopped and life made better again.

Cyberbullying is so wrong, you just don't know how desperate the victim can get so please never cyberbully anyone.

What steps can be taken to stop cyberbullying?

There are many pro-active activities and discussions that parents can have with their children in order to avoid incidents of cyberbullying or to address any early signs that it may be happening.

How to protect your child:

  • Talk with your child about netiquette, how to behave and communicate politely over the Internet and other mobile devices. Importantly, teach children to never say something about someone online that they wouldn't say to that person face-to-face. Bullying others, online or in person, is never appropriate behavior.
  • As mostly cyberbullying happens on social networking sites, so be "friend" with your child on these networks
  • Monitor your child's internet activity with an internet monitoring software like Safetyweb (requires no download or installation, thus easy to use) so that you can make sure your child is not involved in such issue and is safe.
  • Make sure your child understands that comments and images posted on the Internet can be long-lasting and have a global audience.
  • Teach your child to keep the passwords to their online accounts private. Create passwords that are a combination of letters and numbers and are difficult to guess. Passwords should not be shared with friends, not even a best friend.
  • Talk to children about how to handle strong emotions, such as anger. It is never appropriate to send a message or post a comment on the Internet when you are angry or emotional.
  • If your child receives an angry or taunting message, teach them to refrain from responding and to tell a responsible adult. Responding to these types of messages could encourage a bully to continue to pick on the victim.
  • Know how much time your child is spending on the Internet and mobile device.
  • Enjoy the Internet with your child. If you are unable to sit down together at the computer, at least know what activities they are doing online. Consider installing parental control software to monitor your child's activities and limit the Web sites that are available.
  • Encourage your local schools to educate the students on cyber ethics and the law.

What do you do if you know someone that is Cyber Bullying?

If this person is a friend or someone you can talk to, talk to them and explain why cyberbullying is wrong. Give them examples of people who have committed suicide over cyberbullying. Ask them how they would feel if someone treated them like that.

If they are not the kind of person you can talk to, tell an adult or a person in a position of responsibility. Tell them what you witnessed and what the other person did in detail. If you have any proof, like emails or facebook posts, show them to that person to give them facts about the situation.

What percentage of kids kill themselves due to cyberbullying?

20% of youth who are cyberbullied have had thoughts are suicide. There is a new cyberbully android app coming out called Bully Block that could potentially save lives

How do you do bully the person who is bullying you?

First you need to befriend them on an app like snapchat posing as a girl, slowly over the span of years you build a false relationship.

Then after a bit of crocodile tears you say that you don't feel loved, they respond with some cheesy remark.

First screenshot taken on a different phone so it doesn't alert them of your treachery.

After I while you make it a bit more romantical and you get some of this ppepfpp pics, you then download anonymously and airdrop the images at school with his face and the previous screenshot atttached.

Just like that you've made them a victim.

I hope this helps.

Lots of love - Tyrese M

What are the forms of technology a cyber bully would use?

It's that they take ridicule and back-biting to a whole new level. They gain ground by not only acknowledging that they don't like you just by their actions, and sneers but if they know they can cause great damage on a technological device they think they can't be busted as easy. After all what would you think if they were calling you perverted and disgusting names online 'for the whole world to see'? Then maybe the people who catch themwill see them as sick and without excuse - hence reducing the blame on them.
