it says right on the cap "1" but if it does not then it is directly above the rotor. if that doesn't help then it is the closest, straight to the radiator

just go with E3 plugs. they may be a little more expensive but they give you more power, burn all the gas so none is wasted which in turn gives you better mileage and less gook

This is called dieseling. When you shut the engine off, it goes "Pocka, Pocka, Pocka" a few times and finally stalls.

If you are not comfortable with DIY, take it to a local auto parts store such as AutoZone or Pep Boys and ask them to put the car on a tester. If there is anything wrong electronically, it will show and they can advise you of a good course of action.

The bolt pattern for the wheel lugs is 4 on 4.5" (114.3mm) bolt circle. If you are looking for aftermarket wheels you are either getting Panasports or Centerlines. Nothing else will fit (besides custom made).

Yes. Installing a bigger turbo is somewhat of a complicated job, but is very possiable and practical for your 280zx. The most important thing to remember is your stock manifold has a t-3 type flange, so the turbo you buy has to also be a t-3 type flange. Many companies make these and they are very common. Id recommend a t3/t4 hybrid such as a Garrett TO4E. When you do this job its important to remember a few things. Your stock 280zx doesnt have a intercooler, it will be a good idea to make yourself a custom intercooler set up. Also you don't have a mass air-flow sensor in that car, you only have a air-flow sensor, so the sensor will measure "X" amount of air comming in and the computer will then give the engine "X" amount of fuel to match, this means you cannot run a bov vented to the atmosphere you must run a re-circulated bov and recirculate the air back to the intake of the turbo behind the afm. finally the last important thing to remember is this is all a custom job and you have to be prepaird to overcome some unforseen issues with this project. i suggest you do some serious internet research before you start this project, there are many sites with helpfule guides to do exactly this project, use them and you shouldnet have a problem.

There is a small "stud" that guides your top gear. Make sure this stud is straight UP. Make sure all studs, including the bottom gear, are straight up. Any timing marks to be straight up.

Yes. For the most part all 1979-1983 280zx transmissions are pretty much the same, manual to manual and auto to auto. The turbo transmission from 81-83 however is a Borg Warner T-5 style toploader. Something tells me through experience is that they will bolt up to a non turbo motor, but the driveshafts and rear end will need to be changed. Also, be aware that the older Z's from 70-78 will bolt up, but the driveshafts would definitely need to be swapped, especially if you are putting a 4 speed into it for whatever reason.
