How do you write a letter to a company you wish to sponsor a Dirt Track Race Car?

A diesel truck can be the perfect too for someone who needs a powerful engine that does not guzzle gasoline. Diesel engines are some of the strongest in the industry. They provide an efficient, powerful engine at a fraction of the fuel consumption of traditional gasoline engines.

Carrying Heavy Loads

Diesel trucks are particularly good at hauling heavy loads. The firing mechanism within a diesel engine is designed to use every bit of the energy that is produced, which makes diesel engines incredibly efficient. They require less diesel fuel to create the same amount of energy that a traditional gasoline engine needs for the same amount of power. Many construction trucks and tractors are designed with diesel fuel engines for just that reason. Diesel engines are also used extensively for larger capacity machinery, as well, like cargo ships and diesel trains.

More Fuel Efficient

When the combustion chamber compresses the oxygen and diesel fuel, it burns all of the fuel. This means that every ounce of energy is squeezed from every last drop of diesel. Diesel engines need to be refueled far less often than gasoline engines. Since most gasoline trucks are known for their ability to burn through gallons of gasoline incredibly quickly, it makes financial sense to switch over to a diesel engine. The money that you spend for the diesel truck will be made up in a matter of months by the reduction in fuel costs. Diesel fuel prices also tend to stay more stable than gasoline prices, which can pay off in the long run.

Cleaner Diesel Engines

Diesel has had a bad reputation since its early days. The engines may be more fuel efficient, but they have always produced billows of blue smoke. Most consumers think of this dirty exhaust when they think of a diesel truck. Modern science has begun to eliminate the smoke from the diesel burning process, however, which is making diesel a much more attractive choice for consumers who need a less expensive fuel option. Diesel engines still spew some smoke, but not nearly as much as they used to before scientists began to tackle the dirty problem and find workable solutions.

What is the most famous dirt track?

Probably Eldora Speedway. Which is located in OH.. Two of the most prestigious races are ran there yearly. The Dream and The World 100. Which I'm sure most people who are familiar with Dirt Track have heard about it. Then again. it also depends where you are from. People in the Western parts of the US might not have heard of it. But most likely if you are from the East or Midwest, and South.. Mostly likely have.

Can you install a kick stand on a dirt bike that doesn't have a kick stand?

Most race type dirt bikes do not have kick stands because it sticks down below the frame and will be damaged or ripped off the first time the skid plate hits a rock or log.

To install one:

Get one from a wreck or the dealer. You will most likely have to weld the mounting tab to the frame and then bolt it on and attach the hold up spring.

Is it okay to soak a dirt bike chain in used oil?

I've never tried this but found this on ThumperTalk. A standard, non-O-ring chain.......... Just put a quart or so of plain old cheap motor oil in an old pot, enough to cover the chain and heat it up, don't need to boil it, but get it good and hot and leave there for about 5-10 minutes. No matter how well you think you may have cleaned the chain before doing this, you can watch all the crud and crap roll right out of the chain. Let it cool back down, take the chain out, let it drip dry, wipe off any excess, put it on the bike and spray it down with your favorite chain lube. Most of the time, even old filthy chians with kinked links that you can't get freed-up well will work fine after doing this.

Why would a 49 cc pocket bike stall at under 10 MPH?

because your choke may be partly on. == == It could be the centrifugal clutch, it may need adjusting to fully engage at a higher RPM

your engine could be a little cold. my 49cc scooter does the same thing if i just start it and then go. let it run for a minute then try. Your carb could be out of adjustment.Turn the adjusting screw in till my motor revs a little then back it out some but not to much just got to play with the settings to get it right not hard at all, maybe even check the fule filter it could be clogged or cracked.

How do you messure for a sons dirt bike?

You don't really measure. It depends on age, ability, weight and height. For a beginner rider from age 4 - 20+ I'd look at either the Yamaha pw50 (for a 4-6 yr old), the TTR series of yamahas for older kids, or Honda CRF-F's. A KLX110 by Kawasaki is a great bike for a beginner up to about 11-12

Racing is dirt more diffacult than asphalt?

Dirt racing is more forgiving. i have asked many racers over the year and most agree that a driver has to be more percise on asphalt but the car has alot to do with it. Asphalt is more about consistancy. Dirt is more about the driver. On dirt the surface is always changing so the driver has to change his or her style.

What does hot lap mean in dirt track racing?

Hot lap is a term used for a test drive. It's where they let drivers take the car on the track and see how the car and the track handle before a race. It is often only a few laps and less cars on the track at a time then during a normal race. Cars are not required to do hot laps but, it is a good idea since track conditions change all the time. By doing a test drive or "Hot Laps" before a race it allows drivers to see how the car will handle in a safer way then just making them race the car. This way they can make changes to the car before the race begins. Hot laps allows driver and crews to make the race safer and car go faster.
