This is a very difficult question to answer. Many many many people say that there was racism in the book. I dont believe the racism was offensive at all. I dont take racism lightly and i dont beleve it was too racist. I would definetly recomend this book for children and adults. it opened my eyes on how people shuldnt judge other people by stories or rumors.

Sexism isn't as large a topic of discrimination like racism, but does play a role in the development of the novel. Sexism is expressed towards women from men and women alike. Men feel they must protect women from unsightly things, (Lee 221), and women believe to be a lady they must dress, act, and speak a certain way. Aunt Alexanria makes it her goal to womanize Scout and makes her dress in her nicest dress and attend tea parties. Miss Stephanie tells Scout she'll never be a lady unless she starts wearing dresses. And during Tom's testimony women, and children, are asked to leave the courtroom to 'protect' them from the nature of the case.

Sexism is an important theme in "To Kill a Mockingbird" and should be observed when discussing the discrimination of the novel.

The sociologist who developed the typology distinguishing prejudice and discrimination is Robert Merton. He described four possible relationships individuals may have toward prejudice and discrimination: unprejudiced nondiscriminators, unprejudiced discriminators, prejudiced nondiscriminators, and prejudiced discriminators.

Huckleberry Finn is full of satire about different aspects of society- things still present and things from the past. Throughout the book, Huck's moral view about slavery and slaves in general changes, and since this book was written in the first person narrative it was intended to make the reader feel like they were progressing through the plot along with the character. However, Huck does not seem to completely overcome racism by the end of the book, but does get closer to that point. While Huck Finn was written with a pro-abolitionism intent, it was also meant to make the reader question what moralities society holds, and come to their own conclusion. The book merely brings up the issue of racism, but does not make the reader believe one way or another. So yes, in a way, it could be a good way to overcome racism, if that is what you get out of the book.

In "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton, housing discrimination is depicted when the rich Socs are portrayed as living in nicer neighborhoods and having better living conditions compared to the poorer Greasers. This economic divide contributes to the tensions and conflicts between the two groups in the novel.

No, not all of Maya Angelou's poems are about racism. She wrote on a variety of topics including love, empowerment, identity, strength, and resilience. While racism is a recurring theme in some of her works, her poetry is diverse and explores a wide range of human experiences.

Children do not discriminate anyone for their appearance at any age, this is a factor which is influenced by: TV, video games, movies, other children or parents. In fact if you were to leave a group of children which were all from a different ethnicity in a room and secluded them through the whole of their lives, (giving them food and drink) there would be no discrimination whatsoever.

I can provide a few examples of famous orations: Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, Winston Churchill's "We Shall Fight on the Beaches" speech, and Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Each of these speeches is renowned for its powerful rhetoric and impact on history.

it is a glare of hatred from one race to another, that seems to reach into your very soul, hating you for what you are. It doesnt matter what your name is, your schooling, your life. The hate stare just sees the pigmentation of your skin and hates you for it. Griffin sees it as one of the most disgusting examples because it contorts the features of the face because you put on a disgusted look. It is disgusting because no one should ever stare at another human being like that.

I have only read: 'The Sound and the Fury' and 'As I Lay Dying.' I have also read a part of 'Light in August.' I would tend to say 'no' but at times, his use of the 'N' word seems so present in the third person narrative, I have my doubts. But, if cornered by so many scholars on the subject, I'd lean towards 'no.'

Unfortunately, racism exists in every country, including England. While the majority of people in England are not racist, there are still instances of racial discrimination and prejudice that occur. It is important for society to actively work towards combating racism and promoting inclusivity and equality.

Unfair discrimination is Jews only hiring other Jews. Jews are in a position of power and/or influence in every major industry and look to hire and/or choose other Jews exclusively whether they are the best qualified, or not.

It is important to follow the proper channels for reporting discrimination in order to ensure that the issue is addressed and resolved appropriately.

Women should be able to vote because they are equal members of society and deserve the right to participate in the democratic process.
