What are the problems associated with doctors over prescribing penicillin?

Penicillin is a very effective antibiotic which causes the cell walls of bacteria to break down by adding it's beta-lactam ring (part of its chemical structure) to the molecules used to build the wall. This weakens the bacteria and they lyse.

If too much penicillin is prescribed in a population, and especially if courses are not completed and some bacteria survive, then resistant forms emerge. These develop an enzyme called beta-lactamase which breaks down penicillin before it can have its effect. As such, they survive courses of penicillin and its related drugs, and a penicillin-resistant strain is formed which can only be treated with other drugs.

Why urinalysis requested by doctor?

The answer is quite simple. The doctor wants to know if you are taking your meds as prescribed. The doctor is checking for things that should not be in your system, such as cannibus, meth, cocaine, or other narcotics. And really important he wants to see if you have YOUR medicine, and only YOUR medicine, in your system, as opposed to selling them or taking too much and running out. Pain medication has become epidemic as far as abuse goes, so all can expect to take as prescribed, or take none at all.

Who should be call first if there is a natural death at home 911 or the Doctor or mortuary?

This will depend on whether the decedent was under hospice care. If he was you would call the hospice nurse, who would come in and pronounce the patient. If you find a person dead and he's not under hospice care, then you would call 911. They will send a team of paramedics to come in and pronounce the patient. If the patient died naturally, the officer who responded to the scene will have you called the funeral home and wait with you until it comes over to the house to make the removal.

Answer

If the person dies and a doctor is not present, then the coroners office will respond if you call the police.

What are the definition of IV fluids administration?

Intravenous administration involves directly delivering the drug into the veins., ensuring that the entire dose enters the patient's bloodstream. Intravenous administration leads to immediate therapeutic effect yet this effect is irreversible.

Intravenous administration refers to supplying medication directly into the blood stream. A hollow tube attached to a hollow needle (cannula) is inserted into a patients vein. The tube and needle are secured to the skin with adhesive tape so that it doesn't come out when a patient moves. The other end of the tube is usually attached to an IV bag that contains medication and a carrier fluid, such as a saline (salt) solution. In between there would be a manual roller clamp that can be used to control or limit the infusion (rate of flow) of the medication by pinching the tube as well as a slide clamp to shut it off completely without having to disturb the roller clamp setting. The tube can also go through a computerized machine to accomplish the same and keep track of the amount of fluid used.
