How do you install front wheel bearing instructions for a 2004 dodge stratus sedan?

Oddly, I just tackled this one myself. It's pretty simple. The parts I purchased at Autozone and made by Timkin. The bearings and hubs are one assembly, so there's no need to pack the bearings or anything like that. It's literally a four bolt off, four bolt on job. You will need a speacial star-shaped bit to remove and replace one of the bolts. It can also be purchased at Autozone.

On to the job itself: Be sure to loosen all the parts. Next beat the end of the drive shaft out of the center of the hub with a hammer. It may take a little persuading. The bearing hub assembly will take a shot or two and it will fall right off. Put the new one on, use a little red lock-tight when re-assembling, and that's about it.

Should take a few hours with a buddy.

Best of luck.

Where is crankshaft position sensor located on 2003 dodge stratus?

Easy :) All you have to do is put your car up in the air, walk under it and you can see the connector just behind the front lower engine mount bracket. (driver's side)

I will be removing the mount and bracket, supporting the weight with a transmission jack, then removing the sensor.....

Hope that helps.

How do you program a 2004 dodge stratus keyless remote?

Open the glove box, reach in and remove this little book called an Owner's Manual. Inside this little book is all kinds of answers to this and many other questions. You will find it invaluable for future reference.

AnswerYou have to take it to a dealer, the service department has to program those. Answerthe guy with the first answer is trying to be funny. but hes not. u gotta go to the dealer and theyll take the serial number and program it there. its not a do-it-yourself type of thing.

All these answers are wrong. It deals with a sequence of electrical input from the car such as placing the ignition in the on and off position several times. The exact sequence is different and with research on the net you can find it. Only in rare instances does the car need a special "adaptor" along with the sequence to program it. Good luck finding it.

AnswerThe only wrong answer is the one above. The manual does discuss programming additional remotes. However, if it is the only remote you have and you need it programmed then you must take it into a dealer\automotive electrician to program it. No ifs, buts or maybes.

It is possible to do yourself with a small amount of technical skill. You must locate the data link connector under the driver's side of the dash. You must connect pins 1 and 4 with a small wire or jumper. This tells the system it is ready to be reprogrammed. Close all doors. Turn ignition switch to ACC. then back off. The door locks will lock/unlock as a signal the system is ready. Push any button on on each keyfob to be programmed. They must be pressed within 1 minute of each other. The doors will lock/unlock to signal the codes were recieved. Remove jumper wire and enjoy your remotes.

Why would a car start when cold but not start and cranks only after it's been driven awhile?

I'm not sure I understand the question but I do know this. If your car will start when it is cold, yet after driving it for awhile, you shut it off and then go to restart it and it wont start you need to have your starter and starter solenoid checked. Its happenened to me on 2 different cars. It seems that when the starter gets to hot it just jams up or freezes up and won't crank over the engine. Yet if the car sits for a little while it cools down and then seems to work just fine. Its defineately a sign that your starter and/or solenoid is about to die. Pull it out and have it checked.(auto zone will do it for free, its called a load test) There's a good chance that's your problem, if I understood the problem correctly. Good Luck, hope this helps.
