From th einside of the trunk there are three plastic wing nuts that hve to be removed in order to remove the taillight. Once the taillight is out You can remove the bulb by turning it Counter clockwise.

Just need a bulb... goto a local auto store look up your size bulb, and grab a set. replace both. If you replace just one the other one is just gonna go out eventually and it is cheaper in sets. Trouble code P1494 means: Leak detection pump pressure switch or mechanical fault

the insrument cluster is not receiving any messages from the other computers in the car. the "bus" is the communication network built into the car.

It is toward the middle of the engine, just off to the right. I know I just checked mine!

This would be a warranty item. Talk with your dealer. If the tires are worn out, they will make you think it is a bearing(s, and you will have went through the expense for nothing.

The timing marks on a '97 Dodge Stratus are located on the timing chain and the camshaft sprocket. They must be aligned to set the initial timing.

Trouble code P0303 means:Cylinder 3 misfire detected

There should be a dipstick at the very back of the engine. It should be gray and say transmission.

Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent

Take the end of the spark plug wire that you just pulled off of the plug end, and put it back on to the plug after you have unthreaded it. It will easily hold the plug while you extract it from the hole.

code 12:problem with battery connection.direct battery input to PCM disconnected within the last 50 ignition key-on cycles. code 51:oxygen sensor signal input indicates lean fuel/air ratio condition during engine operation. code 46:charging system voltage to high.computer indicates that the battery voltage is not properly regulated.

Try adjusting the clutch. Never downshift to slow down, press the clutch and use the brake to slow down it will save your engine and clutch. Downshift to pass or to rapidly speed up but be sure to have the revs up higher than when you were in the higher gear.

The TCM needs to be checked for transmission specific codes...most likely at the dealer.

You say that the spark plugs are fine, however, have you replaced the wires? A car can run good when idling or cruising but when you accelerate it puts a load on the spark plug wires which if one (or more) of them have started breaking down it will cause sputtering and/or a miss in the engine. Liek someoneless wrote, start with changing the plug wires (cheap and easy to do it yourself)... next check change the fuel filter and then check the fuel pump pressure... it may have enough pressure to keep up to an idle but not enough for aceleration

60 thousand miles and it is not easy, and when you replace make sure you have all the timing absolutely correct, Declan.
