We had two black labs stay with us for several months. The female had 9 puppies, 5 were yellow labs, 4 were black, both parents were black labs.

No there is not, it is must easier to take a dog to get spayed. Humans have enough troulbe remering to take the pill themselves, than to try to remember to give their pet a birth control pill. It is much cheaper i nthe long run to soay, also will prolong her life and elimante the chance of a piometra which would need an emergency spay, and is quite pricey. There is a lot of info online with the benefits ofspaying.

She should have reached maturity. Many say two years but you know better than anyone. But if I had to give an age I would say at least 18months. The American bull is a large breed dog and is more equipped to handle birth

I think so, ticks can carry Lyme disease, rocky mountain spotted fever, and a few other real nasty things but I don't know how this would affect a dog but if you remove the tick, which should only be done with tweezers by grasping the head of the tick and nothing else, put it in a plastic bag with the date of removal then store it in a freezer until you can take it to the vet or doctor to verify if the tick is infected then decide the treatment for the animal. These are the procedures for people as well only don't take them to a vet.

It is very important to keep the puppy warm. use blankets and heating pad if needed. Make sure is nursing several times a day and if not than you can get formula and bottle feed him. It is good o handle the pup from birth to get him used to you rtouch and smell. It is also good to give him alone time to move and get a feel for his body and muscles. The pup will probaly just eat and sleep for the first couple of days but he will start to become more and more active over time. So let him do his own thing.
