Is the protocol for safe drinking water sustainable in first nations communities?
How long drinking water will remain available depends on the community. Many communities will need to make major changes in the coming years. The policies of Los Angeles has caused part of its water source to change into desert land and produce less water. Miami has changed from a jungle to a desert. Its many canals designed for flood control have become sources of salt water intrusion. It has ruined its tremendous source of fresh water. It too will need water.
Cities, such as Los Angeles and Miami, bordering salt water will need to turn sea water into drinking water.
Atlanta and Beijing are in interior areas of low rainfall. As they expand they will need to find new sources of water.
Small farming communities continue emptying out in the United States, China, and India. Their water is sustainable.
Does warm or cold water absorb more easily into the body?
One theory is that the cold water causes the blood vessels surrounding stomach to shrink, slowing absorption. The body also has to expend energy to heat cold water to body temperature (hydrating the body more quickly). On the other hand, after physical exertion, cold water may help cool the body more effectively than room temperature water.
Note: the Difference between the two are minute and for the most part negligible.
the body uses few calories in order to raise the temp of water, and it does so quickly.
What can be done with no heat and no hot water?
Per your exposition, unlikely will you be reimbursed or be relocated on the government's dime. The weather and the difficulty caused by it will be considered an act of God. You might check with the local authorities to see if they have made some sort of arrangements, but don't hold your breath.
Is it true that Strauss water T6 is better then water bottles?
yes it is, it purifies the water straight from your mains, and leaves all the good minerals in the water and reduces chlorine and other contaminants, it also uses a UV light to ensure bacteria free drinking water.
using a filter system that purifies the tap water is better than using bottled water since there are no leftovers (plastic bottles are bad for the environment - regardless of whether the t-6 is better or not)
What are the risks of drinking spring water?
IF the water has been purified, very few risks. Drinking directly from the spring, the water may contain organisms (bacteria, parasites, etc.) that can make you sick.
Is tap water safer than bottled water?
Water bottling plants are self regulating. They abide by their own rules. They are also vulnerable to employe tamerping. If a hypodermic needle can end up in a package of ham, we must ask what can end up in your water? Often, bottling plants draw water from open air sources, even underground water sources are sometimes fed by open air streams miles away from the pumping station. Anything can fall in, grow, or die in those streams. Then its filtered and sold at a higher cost than automotive fuel. City's however have to be a little more responcible, since bad water could cripple almost an entire city in days if left undetected. Most city's store this water in massive underground tanks and water towers were nothing can fall in. Atleast we'd hope. However we do know what does fall in. And that is tons of chlorien, floride and who knows what else! In the end, the only safe choice is to distill your bottled water by bioling it and collecting the steam. Or filtering your tap water and then distilling it. but keep in mind that distilled water can make you very sick because it is unstable, and goes bad very fast due to the extra oxygen being boiled out of it.
Why is tap water clear when other bodies of water are blue?
When we perceive the color of an object, we see the color that is reflected from the object into human eyes. Water absorbs light that is red, so that's why bodies of water aren't red. These bodies of water, however, don't absorb much blue light, so blue light get reflected into our eyes the most. That's why we see bodies of water as blue. Tap water is clear because it is only a small amount of water. A glass of water does not have the necessary amount of water to reflect enough blue light to be noticed by our eyes.
Is eye or hand chirality involved when leaning your head aside to drink water straight from the tap?
I asked my friends and from the data I could collect I seems it is eye chirality. Not sure though, I hope a real scientist could help ;)
both are involved. the eyes directly link to each respective half of the brain, as do the hands and feet, though some peoples feet are 'crossed' ie left foot, right hand dominant. thus on leaning the head, or rotating the head by a slight angle whilst looking forward effectively switches the occularly dominant side of the brain from one to the other. this in turn increases the 'awareness' of one side of the body eg, with head turned slightly to the right, the right eye and body becomes dominant, though it is infact the left hemisphere of the brain that has become more dominant, due to the cross wiring of the brain to body. this is important for co-ordinated tasks such as walking, or manipulating objects with your hands, you effectively need to see what you are doing. this of course does not mean the other half of the body becomes completely dead, and it is possible to 'learn' to reverse it, though this is the general natural arrangement of the mind-body. i hope this helps
Do rollie pollies drink water?
okay this is 1st grade knowledge ALL LIVING THINGS NEED WATER TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!
well in the olden days they thought when you are ill its good 4 u but nower days not a tall no matter what
What is one way to recycle or reuse water?
In some cities, waste water (that goes down your drain) is already being collected, purified, and re-introduced to your citys' water system.
A desert water-collector can recycle some of the water introduced to the collection pit, but it is not really enough to make it worthwhile. Foliage works better, and this is really a survival tip, anyways.
Some people use "rain barrels" to collect water for the purpose of watering their trees and shrubs. This technique does not work well where the water may freeze overnight.
What is it called when you have plenty of water you can't drink?
When you have plenty of water you cannot drink it is frozen water, or ice. However, as scientific points and to add a mental challenge, we can also say all ice can be melted with the right conditions, but not all melted ice can be drunk.
