Will taking vitiams help with the withdrawals from coming off of Oxycontin?

Vitamins will certainly help with the malnutrition you usually get if you've been abusing drugs. It won't really help the shakiness, nausea, diarrhea, etc - your doctor can give you some medicine to help, and can help you cut down on the Oxycontin every day in a safer fashion so that you don't have so many withdrawal symptoms! Good luck with the healthy new lifestyle!

Will there be any side effects to the person who CPR was preformed on even if he got pulse and respiration?

If you perform CPR on a person who is breathing and has a pulse, you would decrease the effectiveness of their own breaths & heart pumps. If a person is breathing and has a good pulse, during the check you should be able to determine the person has signs of life. In fact, if you try to perform CPR, they may resist. If the person is barley breathing and you do not determine they are breathing, better to perform CPR if in question because if the breathing is that faint, it will only be a short amount of time before they loose signs of life. The probability of a side affect of performing CPR with faint signs of life is small.

How long after taking suboxone can you take ultram ER if i took my last 2mg of suboxone at 1 o'clock in the afternoon today 2morrow can i take my 200mg ultram ER and still feel the ultram?

Yes you can. Actually even if you had a really bad habit and you just took your 8Mg Suboxone, i would say 8 - 12 hours later you can safely take opiates again. This also depends on how your takin the opiate. If your snorting (or shooting, obviously) then i would suggest waiting a little longer, if your taking the pill orally then you can take it earlier, because it will still have a while before it breaks down and the drug gets through your system. I've never experienced real withdrawls or the withdrawals suboxone gives you, and I'm thankful for that. I love painkillers, but suboxone is definitely a great answer to opiate addiction. Hope this helped. l8r.

Who in the world are you? And who told you all of your information about suboxone? Because you are so bad wrong! Ultram is not an opiate - you can take it anytime. And as for as waiting 8 hours and taking an opiate, why even take suboxone? However I have been one suboxone for about 2 weeks, and I had to get a tooth pulled, and the doctor gave me lortabs, and i cant even tell you how crappy i felt afterwards. Try to get all medical problems taken care of before you start suboxone, because its not worth a crap for pain. Hope this will help, it's the real truth!

--

The real truth?

Who in the world told you suboxone was a pain killer? That doctor is a complete moron! Why in the heck would he give you lortabs? He obviously doesn't know what he is doing.

People, do your research!

My husband was addicted to pain pills and heroin, so I put him in rehab and they gave him this "wonder drug" to "help" him with getting sober and with the pain. Four years later, he finally wants to be free from this addiction, and now it is worse than getting off of the other crap! I'm talking 2 seizures in the past year! Wonder drug? Be very careful! This is just another addiction. Just get sober without it! You're better off and I know that my husband regrets his choice to stay on this drug. It's not a miracle, it's a nightmare!

Ultram, or Tramadol, while an opiate agonist, does not behave exactly like an opiate. I could find no information on whether or not tramadol and buprenorphine would have a higher affinity than the other for the same receptors. Nonetheless, one can follow buprenorphine with another opiate without precipitating withdrawals. But because buprenorphine has a higher binding affinity, the closer you take an opiate to your Bupe dose, the less effective it will be. You should wait at least twenty-four hours, or until the effects of the bupe wear off, to receive the maximum effect of another opiate.

On the other hand, you cannot follow other opiates with buprenorphine, because buprenorphine is an agonist/antagonist. And because of it's higher affinity, it will dislodge other opiates from your receptors, precipitating withdrawals. Therefore, you must wait for other opiates to clear your system - twenty-four to thirty-six hours - before taking bupe.

Buprenorphine is a pain reliever, and is considered to be about half as effective a morphine.

Buprenorphine is not a "wonder drug". It is merely, like methadone, a legal substitute for other opiates that the government has deemed illegal. Buprenorphine satisfies the moralistic impulses of the prohibitionists because it produces very little in the way of euphoria, and it effectively blocks the effects of other opiates which do produce euphoria. But, in terms of addiction, almost all opiates, (all opiate agonists), are interchangeable in that they will all prevent withdrawals.

If you need to take another opioid pain medication, you can simply stop taking buprenorphine, assuming that the dose of the pain medication is equivalent, or greater than, your buprenorphine dose. Google "opioid equivalency chart" to get an idea of this.

If you take another opiate for more than three or four days, you will have to transition back to buprenorphine by waiting until the other opiates clear your system. Again, at least twenty-four hours.

Most cold and flu tablets contain pseudoephedrine, which is a stimulant and may cause you to lose your appetite.

What are the physical side effects of methamphetamines?

Taking methamphetamine can result in increased wakefulness, increased physical activity, decreased appetite, increased respiration, rapid heart rate, irregular heartbeat, increased blood pressure, and hyperthermia.

Other effects of methamphetamine abuse may include irritability, anxiety, insomnia, confusion, tremors, convulsions, and cardiovascular collapse and death.

Long-term effects may include paranoia, aggressiveness, extreme anorexia, memory loss, visual and auditory hallucinations, delusions, and severe dental problems.

Methamphetamine is very addictive, and people may become addicted after only a few uses. It changes the brain of the user permanently, making them less able to learn and remember, and less likely to feel excitement and pleasure during normal life; it also affects the motor skills, so users are more clumsy - these results are from studies that go back thirty years, so there is good, solid evidence of the harm this drug does.

Methamphetamine use has also been shown to quicken the progress of the HIV disease if you already have it, and drug users are at increased risk of catching Hepatitis if they share needles.
