Does the baby become less active during the last 3 weeks of pregnancy?
It truly depends on the baby, how big the baby is, and how much room you have in your womb. Typically, a baby becomes less active because it is harder for him/her to move around. My little girl was not typical though. The movement did not change at all even as the time drew closer. I am an average sized woman, and with how large my belly was, I thought maybe I had a lot of room and she was smaller than average. (Mind you, my last ultrasound was at 6 months, so all size estimates were just that, estimates.) So, imagine my surprise when she finally arrived and she was a whopping 8lb 2 oz, 21 inch long baby. I must of had a lot of room in there for her to do her somersaults!
What is the earliest that you should for sure hear or see the fetal heartbeat?

Can the weight of carrying your 9 month old baby harm your current pregnancy?
Under normal pregnancy circumstances, it is commonly advised for a pregnant woman not to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. Also, do not lift anything that is awkward to carry that is about the weight of a gallon of milk or heavier. This is especially true beginning the second trimester. As your belly grows, you already become off-centered with the extra weight in the front, and carrying awkwardly shaped or large items, no matter how much they weight, can be dangerous in that it increases your risk of becoming off balance and falling.
However, if you have a high risk pregnancy, they will not want you to lift anything at all... outside of your fork or hairbrush.
Now, if your 9 month old is at an average weight, it is okay for you to carry her, provided you are not a high risk pregnancy. You should not carry her for extended periods of time, nothing outside of moving her from spot to spot if no one is around to help you. However, do not bend at your back to try to pick her up from the floor. Bend with your knees... or better yet try to get her up onto a couch first so that it will be less stress trying to get a good hold on her.
In any case, you should still consult with your doctor in case he has any special instructions for you.
Of course, everyone is someones heart, that's why we call it love.
What is the difference between gestational and conceptional age -- why the two weeks?
The simple answer is that gestational age is calculated from the first day of the pregnant female's last menstrual period, while the conceptional age is calculated from the time of ovulation. In a normal menstrual cycle, the first date of menstruation reliably occurs about 14 days after ovulation, accounting for the two weeks' difference in gestational age and conceptional age.
And now for some background information. Both gestational age and conceptional age are terms used to describe the age of a fetus during a pregnancy, particularly the age at delivery. But as you've observed, they are off by two weeks, such that gestational age is about two weeks greater than conceptional age.
Gestational age is how much time has passed since the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP). Conceptional age is how much time has passed since conception (fertilization). Conception is presumed to have occurred on the day of ovulation. The difference in time between the LMP and ovulation is two weeks, which accounts for the two week difference in gestational age and conceptional age. While individual female's menstrual cycles vary by length, timing, etc., a female reliably begins her menstrual period 14 days after ovulation.
If you have fetal pole and heart beat but you are 12 weeks pregnant?
A fetal pole and heartbeat are signs of a healthy pregnancy at 5 ½ to 6 ½ weeks.
If there is a heartbeat, you have every reason to think you are having a healthy pregnancy. I would suggest maybe there is some miscalculation of the dates and further testing needs to be done; a serum hCG level, with a repeat in 6 days and an ultra-sound repeated in 3 to 7 days, should clear up a lot of questions. Below are the specific things to look for in the first trimester that will indicate pregnancy is progressing normally. The first trimester weeks 1 through the end of week 13.Weeks 3 -5 Since LMP - (Fetal Age 1 - 3 weeks): Between day 6 - 12 after conception, the blastocyst will imbed into the uterine lining, marking the beginning of the embryonic stage. At this time the thickening of the endometrium (uterine lining) is evident. After the embryo implants into the endometrium, hCG starts to rise 18 - 7,340 mIU/m is a normal level and it will continue to double every 2 to 3 days. Before an embryo is visible, the yolk sac can be seen inside the gestational sac - late in the 3rd week.
Week 6 Since LMP - (Fetal Age - 4 weeks): A vaginal ultrasound could possibly detect an audible heartbeat at this time. The embryo is about a ½ inch in length.
5 ½ to 6 ½ weeks is usually when either a fetal pole or even a fetal heart beat by vaginal ultrasound is detected. The fetal pole is the first visible sign of a developing embryo. Normal hCG levels are 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml.
Week 8 since LMP - (Fetal Age - 6 weeks):Everything a full grown person has, your embryo now has (in miniature) The bones are beginning to form, and the muscles can contract. The embryo is at the end of the embryonic period and begins the fetal period.
A normal heartbeat at 6-7 weeks would be 90-110 beats per minute. The presence of an embryonic heart beat, is an indication of a healthy pregnancy. hCG levels will run 7,650 - 229,000 mIU/ml at 7 to 8 weeks.
Weeks 9 -13 since LMP - (Fetal Age - 7 to 14 weeks): The fetus has grown to about 3 inches in length and weighs about an ounce. The fetus can make a fist, and the buds for baby teeth appear. The head is nearly half the size of the entire fetus.
The hCG levels will peak at about 8-12 weeks of pregnancy normal levels will run from between 7,650 - 288,000 mIU/ml.
Why do babies ball up inside the womb?
babies ball up while in the womb because there is not much moving space and it then seems to be a bigger space if they are smaller.
Why does Roxy's baby only survive for 5 weeks?
Amy lives longer than 5 weeks. She's still alive at the moment, and she's about 4 months old
What chance does a 29 week old baby have of living?
Pretty high. There is a lot that can be done to help a baby born at 29 weeks. He or she would need to be in an incubator for a while and have help with breathing and feeding, but the chances of survival are high
Why would a foetus measure at 6 weeks 3 days when 9 weeks pregnant?
Could mean several different things. One it could be that the conception date is wrong but it could also mean there is something wrong with the pregnancy. My son, who passed away July 10, was measuring through the entire pregnancy smaller than what I was actually..When he passed away I was 27 1/2 weeks pregnant and he was measuring 22 weeks. He was only 8 ounces pregnant. Follow closely with your doctor and make sure they take you seriously...God bless..Please keep me posted..
My first pregnancy was like this all I had was the sac.. no yolk sac or fetus and I miscarried at 7 weeks. The only way to be sure is if there is a heart beat. I am 9 weeks now and have fetus yolk sac and a heart beat. Ask to hear for a heart beat to be sure.
Is 79 beats per minute to low for a six week old fetus?
Yes, a fetus heart rate is between 120-140 beats per min. Decrease heart rate is usually an indication of fetal distress. I would have this checked by a doctor.
At five months would you kno your babys gender?
Yes, at 5 months (or 20 weeks since your last menstrual period), the genitalia would be developed enough to see. However, seeing the "bits and pieces" still depends on the baby's cooperativeness! I had a scan monday thinking I was 6wks pregnant but when I had it they found a sac measuring 9mm the docter said its early and bring me back in to weeks have I lost my baby or is docter right its to early I just think he trying to make me think possitave :( am so unhappy just want to no if am going to misscarriage or there could be hope please help
A 9mm gestational sac should correlate to between 5 or 6 weeks gestational age, by which time one should be able to see a yolk sac developing, although maybe not a fetal pole. It is true, that a small gestational sac may indicate very early pregnancy, and a repeat ultrasound and Beta-HCG level should be done. 2 weeks is probably a bit long to wait, however. I would repeat the HCG in 3 days, and another ultrasound in 1 week at the most.
While it is possible this is a miscarriage, you should wait for the repeat testing to be sure before you really get worried. Otherwise, you have spent this time worrying for nothing.
Does a baby in the womb pass stools through to the mother to get rid of?
When my wife was pregnant, I learned that in a normal pregnancy, the baby does not have a bowel movement while in the womb, but they do urinate while in the womb.
