It depends. You know, the Finnish kids have to go to school for nine years (primary school = grades 1-6, middle school = grades 7-9) and after they have finished their ninth class they can decide if they want to continue studying. Then they can go to high school for 2,5 or more years, or they can go to technical school.

And if they want to go to university, it starts after they have finished high school. But not so many Finnish youngsters want or can go to university.

Never been a communist country, but yes Finland is still a social democrat country.
