Do not ever wash your bunny it could kill him . Instead spray the rabbits cage/hutch with flea spray and don't let the rabbit in for 24 hours. Brush it with a flea comb daily and drown the fleas in water.

If you use stuff to rub in the fur use Advantage only Advantage it is the safest product to use on rabbits . For dwarf and really small rabbits use 1/2 a dose . The rest use 1 full dose.

make sure if u do use advantage its best on adult rabbits more then young rabbits.

Try Capstar pills. They work great and in a short period of time. I just got a dog from an animal shelter and they informed me that my dog (like so many strays) was flea infested. They gave him Capstar and that solved the problem. Its the only product they use.

Not particularly, hydrogen peroxide is fairly harmless at the common 3% concentration. It is used for inducing vomiting in dogs that have ingested poison. Pour it down the dog's throat and up it comes. It works on people, too. It might not be a good idea to use it on rats because they don't vomit. Some people use it for mouthwash. It doesn't taste very good so you shouldn't need to worry about your pet drinking it.

Mmmm, here's the deal. Insects can survive in water for a while because they breathe through their bodies and small bubbles of air cling to the minute hairs on their bodies. You can't get rid of fleas by submerging the animal in water, it just won't work. Not to mention air is also trapped in the animal's fur. You really need some sort of "flux" to get the air off them and poison the bugs. Shampoo for fleas is great as it also has a poison for fleas, but if you don't have any and can't get any, a good human shampoo will do in a punch and usually works if you lather up the animal, rinse, lather and rinse. It will usually kill the fleas off and they'll wash off the body with a good rinsing. Make sure to use your hands and really massage and scrub. Good luck

A flea may get on a person, but they do not infest them. Also, hamsters do not usually get fleas. If they do, you will be able to visably see them and pick them off with your fingers. If they are scratching a lot, it is more likely that they have mites.
