If you go around to your front passenger side tire and look up under the corner of the bumper there you should see the bottom of your washer bottle, and in it with a few small pipes and wires is your water pump, they recomend to get to it by taking your battery out and then the washer bottle but its easier to jack the front end up (on level ground) and just get to it from there please be aware if you have filled your washer bottle up and you are going to access it from below there is a good chance you might get wet

Petrol or diesel? What year? All today's Ford engines, both petrol and diesel, use 5w/30 'fuel saving' oil.

If you're talking Zetec 1.25 engine. take it to a Ford Dealer. These spark plug leads are designed to create captive income for Ford Dealers. If they're lucky, they'll also be able to charge you for replacement leads which you damage when you get so fed up and frustrated that you decide to just try to PULL them off. (NOT advised). The tool required does not appear to exist outside Ford Dealers. Halfords certainly does not have this tool, if it exists.

I wonder if the tool exists anywhere. Has anyone ever actually had new spark plugs (proven) fitted to their Zetec 1.25 engine by their garage without being also charged for new leads?

yes. its done quite alot. passionford.com has loads of info on it. the zetec is a highly tunable engine:) only one to look out for is the rs2000 engine as this is different and not tuner friendly.

you undo the two front bolts on the top of the cover. You need a 10mm spanner. pull away the air intake pipes. to remove the air filter body from the engine you just pull the whole thing upwards as it is now held at the back on two rubber gromets which slide over two locating pins.

The fuel pump can then be accessed from the top of the tank.

I THINK YOU MIGHT FIND THAT THE IDLE CONTROL VAVLE IS FAULTY AND IS NOT COSTLY TO REPAIR.OR THE THROTTLE CABLE MAY BE ADJUST WRONG OR CAUGHT ON SOMETHING.

1. Open the boot

2. Remove the two screws (Torx head - use T25 bit) on the front of the rear light assembly and carefully pull it out. (The rest of the light is held in by two 'poppers' so a gentle tug should pull it out.)

3. Turn the bulb holder anti-clockwise and pull it out.

4. Replace the bulb and put back together in the reverse order.

The quickest and easiest way to replace the gaitor is to go along to your local motor factors and ask for a universal gaitor.

What you will get is a gaitor which has a split along it's length. You cut the ends of the gaitor off to suit the size of your CV joint and the shaft. You then run the super glue supplied down the seam of the new gaitor, Wrap it around your CV joint, hold the seams together until the glue dries.

Remembering of course to cut the old gaitor off first.

Hello, you need to get a Hi to Lo converter, and attach it to your rear speaker cables, that will then give you an AUX feed for the sub.
