How do you tighten brakes on a 2002 Honda 400EX?
The only direct brake adjustment possible on this ATV is the adjusting bolts with lock nuts on the rear brake calipers. These are easily found right on that part of each caliper where the brake lever moves when the brake is pressed. Both lock nuts are loosened and the adjusting bolts tightened until the brakes are found to be suitably tight, leaving some free play at the top. It is important that this be done on both wheels as uneven braking may otherwise result, leading to hazardous operation of the vehicle. If this does not work, then several other things could have gone wrong. First, and as a part of regular maintenance, check if there is enough brake fluid in the reservoir and top up if necessary. There may be air in the brake system which needs to be bled in that case. The prodecure is basically the same for vehicles with hydraulic brakes. The brake pads may be contaminated or worn and need changing. The caliper piston seals or the master cylinder piston cups may need to be replaced, this will require dissassembly of these parts. The caliper piston may be excessively worn, stuck, misaligned or not sliding properly. The brake fluid passage may be clogged. The brake lever pedal may be bent. A final warning may be in order here. Brakes on any vehicle are its most important safety device and most owners would leave repairs to qualified service personnell as death or serious accidents can easily occur as a result of poor or wrong brake maintenance.
How do you fix a cracked finder on a four wheeler?
Order a new fender from your dealer, it is the easiest way to go. I have repaired a few with a drill and stainless tie wire. First, drill a small hole at the end of the crack then a few down each side of the crack. Then, use the wire to lace up the crack.
They do make plastic welding kits now to repair auto plastics used at body shops. It's about $60.00 for the kits to start. Then just buy refills.

Is it illegal to drive a four wheeler when underage?
I believe you're referring to the sticker that states "don't drive under age of 16, 13 etc." As far as actually being illegal I've never heard of anyone being charged with driving a four-wheeler "underage" on personal property. Now i wouldn't suggest taking your 12 year old to buy a raptor that states "must be 16 to drive" because the salesperson many refuse to sell it to you if they know that a minor will drive it. Yes, they have the right to refuse to sell it to you. It's sorta a "don't ask don't tell" unspoken rule.
IT DEPENDS WHAT BRAND MOST SPORT ATVs ARE AROUND 4000 TO 5000 BUT A UTILITY GOES FROM 7000 TO 8000
Should minors be given two wheelers to drive?
If you are talking about two wheelers, as in motorcycles, minors should not be given two wheelers to drive. A minimum age of 18 should be required since younger kids may not be responsible enough to make wise decisions when riding.

Is the 3 wheeler as safe as the 4 wheeler?
I own the Honda Big Red ATC250, I have never had a problem with rolling it. It is lighter than a 4 wheeler and the geometry makes it more likley to flip, Although ive rode banshee's that would outrun crotchrockets in a8th. over 100mph. U barley try to turn one of those and your going to eat it. Personally i think they are equal as far as a safe machine. Its all in the driver. The machine cant hurt you unless your controling it. I drive the hellout of mine in ice, mud, snow, and even through water, (It almost floats). Big grizzly 4x4s cant hang with me in the bogs. never could. To answer your question,I think they are equally safe, as long as your used to riding it. Its just different. They say, you can't turn sharp. well. You cant turn ANYTHING sharp as high enough speed will eat your lunch. I love my 3wheeler, and dont understand why they are illegal. In 10 years they were 100 Accidents after you throw out little kids, unsupervised kids, drunks ect. 4 wheelers doubled that in 5 years. If your thinking about buying a 3 wheeler, I would buy it. Learn to ride it and laugh in the faces that tell you how dangerous they are when your riding on two wheels going in circles around them.
What is it if a four wheeler starts but bogs out when you rev it?
Could be a lot of things, its not getting a good spark, its not getting good compression (bad valves, worn piston, bad head gasket ETC...) or it could simply be that the carb is clogged/not adjusted right, i used to have a Suzuki lt230 that did the same thing, turns out it had a bad cdi Box
Pull rope will not pull how do you fix that?
It depends on the engine type. If it is the older type with a starter clutch, the ball bearings could be froze up in the starter clutch. Just take the flywheel cover off (the thing with the rope on it) and pope the cover off of the starter clutch. Clean the ball bearings and the surfaces and oil it with motor oil and reassemble. The starter rope could be tangled itself. You can remove the flywheel cover and the rope should pull out easily and retract back in easily. If it is still stuck, its tangled in the flywheel cover or the spring that retracts the rope back in is damaged. The newer style engines with the starter clutch that has the arms fly out (the start clutch is part of the flywheel cover instead of part of the engine like on the older style). These ones are harder to prepare and usually it is better to replace them. If you have a salvage yard nearby you can usually find a junked engine you can pull one off of. These small engines are very simple and fun to work on. It could be a great learning experience and I recommend you try to fix it. Many people through good mowers out each year because they don't bother trying to fix simple problems.
if the air to fuel mixture, or the jets are not correct it will not idle until warmed up or not idle at all. or the choke could have something wrong with it. try cleaning the carb and adjusting the idle screw located on the side of the carburetor and if that isn't the problem then it might need re-jetted
