What foods should you eat before gallstones are removed?
This question should be asked of your doctor only and not be left for an unqualified person. Your doctor should have given pre-surgical instructions about when, how, where and what to eat (or not eat). Follow those instructions carefully and call the office if you are uncertain.
Is bile secreted by hepatocytes?
Yes, bile is primarily synthesized by hepatocytes in the liver. These cells produce bile salts, cholesterol, and other molecules that make up bile, which is then stored in the gallbladder and released into the small intestine to aid in digestion and absorption of fats.
What bile is responsible in globules of fat?
Bile comes from gall bladder. It contains the bile salts. These salts are responsible for emulsification of the fat in your food. that means very fine fat globules are formed. this helps to increase the surface area of the fat. That helps the fat splitting enzyme to brake the fat molecule into three molecules of fatty acids and one molecule of glycerol.
Can gallbladder removal cause tubal ligation failure?
These two organs are in two different quadrants and have no relationship with each other. The gallbladder is tucked under your ribs on the upper right side. The Fallopian Tubes (one on each side) are in the lower right and left quadrants in the pelvic region.
Native Americans develop gallstones more often than any other segment of the population, and Mexican Americans have the second highest incidence of this disease.

How is a gallbladder X-ray done?
The exam is performed in the radiology department. The night before the test, patients swallow six tablets (one at a time) that contain the contrast (x-ray dye). The following day at the hospital, the radiologist examines the gallbladder with a fluoro.
What characteristics does an abnormal gallbladder X-ray have?
Abnormal results may show gallstones, tumors, or cholesterol polyps (a tumor growing from the lining that is usually noncancerous). Typically stones will "float" or move around as the patient changes position, whereas tumors.
What causes the body to make to much creatine?
If it is your body, you may have a kidney problem, or the beginnings of one. A high nitrogen level in the blood can cause the creatinine level to elevate. Creatinine is an anhydrate of creatine. Notice the difference in the spelling of the two.Creatine is an alkaloid or amino acid present in muscle tissue.Creatinine is excreted by the urine.A urine test along with a blood test determines if the kidneys are functioning properly. Anabolic steroid use will elevate creatinine levels, but many other drugs can do the same. If you are using any medications, legal or not, you may want to increase your intake of water. If unprescribed, you may want to discontinue use until your levels return to normal.
Could your heartburn be gallbladder problems?
Because the gallbladder is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, it can occasionally be interpreted as a heart issue, as referred pain. Gallbladder pain is often a pain that can radiate to the scapular area in your back, often, it is exacerbated by eating a high fat meal. It is important that you do not dismiss pain that you feel may be related to your heart, by calling it gallbladder pain. You should make an appointment to see your PMD or visit the ER, if you feel it may be your heart.
What characteristics does a normal gallbladder X-ray have?
The x ray will show normal structures for the age of the patient. The gallbladder should visualize, and be free of any solid structures, such as stones, polyps, etc.
Is the gallbladder in the epigastric region of the body?
No. It is more or less on the same plane but lateral towards the right.
Why do individuals with gallstones experience problems digesting certain foods?
Gallstones block the cystic duct, preventing bile from being released into the small intestine. Without the bile, fat globules cannot be broken down sufficiently.
When the bile duct is blocked, bilirubin (which is yellowish in color and the main constituent of bile) backs up into the blood, causing jaundice.

Is bile stored in the liver or the gallbladder?
Bile is produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder.
Why do you experience urinary discomfort for a while after a catheter is removed?
It could be that the catheter used was too large for your urethra. The hospital I go to uses a size 16 catheter, which always causes pain for me. Or you could possibly have gotten a bladder infection from the insertion of the catheter.
How much bile should be drain with biliary drainage?
The amount of bile to be drained during biliary drainage procedures can vary significantly depending on the patient's condition and the underlying reason for the drainage. Generally, the goal is to relieve obstruction and restore normal bile flow rather than to drain a specific volume. Clinicians typically monitor the patient's symptoms and liver function tests to guide the procedure, ensuring that adequate drainage is achieved without causing complications. It's essential to follow specific protocols and clinical guidelines tailored to each individual case.
Amanda, right upper quadrant pain can be from a variety of problems, as there are lots of organs in that area. The most obvious, as you might expect, live in the abdominal cavity: liver, gallbladder, pancreas, stomach, intestines. Any of these organs can become inflamed from an infection, gallstone, etc. An ultrasound is a good initial test for the gallbladder and liver, but it typically does not visualize the pancreas very well due to the overlying gas in your intestines. Blood work can also reveal a lot of information-your doctor likely checked your basic chemistries and blood counts as well as liver tests and pancreas enzyme levels (amylase and lipase). Top considerations for "severe right upper quadrant pain" associated with nausea that is new and in a woman of your age would be acute cholecystitis or cholangitis (some sort of abnormality should be seen on an ultrasound and bloodwork), acute pancreatitis (can be detected by bloodwork and possibly seen on a CT scan, depending on the course and severity of the disease), acute hepatitis (although severe pain is not typically the main complaint), and stomach or small intestine ulcer. An intestinal infection or mechanical problem, such as a twist or obstruction, is possible as well but would usually involve more diffuse pain and lots of distension. Problems with the lung, diaphragm or muscle are also on the list. Finally, the possibility of a female problem, such as an ovarian cyst or even ectopic pregnancy, should always be considered in a young woman with abdominal pain. Seems that your doctor has initiated an evaluation that would be appropriate to look for most of the most common gastrointestinal causes of your symptoms. If everything turns up negative, I think a reasonable next step would be to consider an endoscopy or some sort of evaluation of your upper GI tract to evaluate for the presence of an ulcer. An abdominal CT scan may also reveal some additional information. It is reasonable to call your doctor first thing in the morning requesting test results and informing him or her that you are still in a lot of pain. Chills can be associated with severe pain or even a fever-if you feel you are getting worse, or if you have a fever, abdominal distension, loss of bowel movements, loss of passing gas, or intolerable pain, you should report to the emergency department for a more urgent evaluation.
Can gastric bypass cause inflammation of the bile duct?
Yes, gastric bypass surgery can potentially lead to inflammation of the bile duct, a condition known as cholangitis. This can occur due to changes in the anatomy of the digestive system, which may result in increased pressure or obstruction in the bile ducts. Additionally, complications such as bile reflux or infection can contribute to this inflammation. It's important for patients to be monitored for such complications after surgery.
