Several were not loyal but who would want to stay in the harsh conditions that a colonial rebel solider had to endure-hunger, lack of training, weahter conditions, sickness, and being tired. George was considered a leader. He did lead the Americans to the freedom that they wanted from us (Britain). He was the first president as well. He has his own holiday in the United States.
