Once you have the plugin in the right folder, open up sketchup and your model, then click plugins>Directx>export model...and save the file with the .x extension (example-hat.x) You now need to open PMDEditor and click F>J>X and open the file you just saved from sketchup. Then do whatever you want to it and save it how you would save a normal model.
