u need to give details about what u call as gout like symptoms.certainly hctz may aggrevate hyperuricemia or even give rise to gouty arthritis,if patient has already hyperuricemia.u should preferably ask ur dr to prescribe some other medication for ?hypertension as i think u r taking hctz for ur high bp
