I'm sure there are a few different answers, to your question, depending on that persons point of view. Some might say, "Why" while others might say, "Why Not" So it depends on your point of view. I have always applied a simple statement, to things like your question, and you will find out, that it pretty much, "cuts to the chase" The statement: "IS THE JUICE, WORTH THE SQUEEZE" It looks like your only commonality here, is Toyota. If your in a state, that has any kind of advanced emissions testing required for registration, you might run into a problem with them, as they are not big fans of "modified vehicles" meaning anything that was not installed at the factory. If you have a wheel barrow full of cash, and no home for it, this sounds like the project to dump it into. This reminds me of a question we had in engineering class, "Can A Brick Fly" The answer is "Yes" "If you put a big enough motor on it" So, "yes" you can put an 89 22r motor in a 86 turbo 4 runner, if you have enough money, and experience with cars in general, with some fabrication experience thrown in for good measure. Don't forget to have a few friends over when your doing this, that way you'll have a few different ideas on how to do it, and to make it enjoyable, have a lot of beer on hand, that way you have an excuse the next day, when someone says, "WHAT HAPPENED"
Possible its time to change those brake pads out. The whining noise is possibly the metal grinding to your rotor, which would cause your wheel to shake. Consider getting those rotors turned as well.
In order to replace the electric window motors on a Pontiac Grand Prix you will need to unscrew the Torx screws on the door, life it back to remove the plastic pieces. Remove all connectors, and the plastic covers.
i have just bought a 90 celica gts with the 10 speaker and an amp stereo. i had to rewire all the speakers to the deck and there is no wiring harnwess so you have to wire it manually
AnswerI was replacing the stereo in my 91 Celica GTS, and I bought a direct ISO loom of eBay for a fiver! Saves chopping the wires man! Failing that, goto your local radio store and ask them for the Wiring Loom or ISO Loom for the car.Hope its not too late!Good luck
a 15 x 6.5
or a 16x 6.5 tire sizes would be a P205/70R/15, P215/60R/16, or a P225/60R16
Right now head-up displays are very expensive and found in niche specialty stores (if you are talking about this technology as it relates to gaming and consumer electronics). Most of us feel that now that gen 4 technology involving lasers is here, the price will begin to come down significantly. Head-up displays may be the next big thing - the way the wii jumped into the market with motion gaming.
You'll need a vacuum pump that is used by AC service technicians.
First of all, I just hope you upgraded the intake the exhaust and the transmission because if not than say ADIOS to your engine and trany especialy. But anyway you can find out by how much boost your putting out ether you purchase a little computer and software for it and hook it up to your lap top(that is if you know as what you are doing) or go the easy way and put the car on the dyno and that will tell you absolutely everything about your car and the specs. You do not need to upgrade the transmission if you only swapped to a 3.4, which would be the first recommended lower size supercharger pulley. But you do need to at the very least have some exhaust mods (especially a U-bend delete), a CAI, and it helps to run a colder t-stat, and a more dialed in PCM, such as a DHP. To determine your boost you can hook up a powertuner (generally around $400) or have it dyno'd. You will get approximately 10 HP per .1 drop in pulley diameter and yes if you dont have supporting mods you will damage your engine if you go too far. Check out the following webiste for a thorough discussion on pulley size and suporting mods. http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=2867792&p=1&tmode=1&smode=1 Hope this helps. "G"
the quickest and easiest way to do it on any car is to pull the e-brake lever up until it clicks just one time.
The front speakers I know are 4x6's despite two door or four and I am pretty sure the rear are 6x9's
A lot of times this comes up because the computer has detected an evaporative system leak. Make sure the gas cap is tight and if the message still comes up you can try a new gas cap. If still a problem you probably have a leak in the Evap system which will require repair. Even though you think your gas cap might be ok buy a new one it probally has a pressure release in it and it is no good. After replacing the gas cap then disconnect the positive cable from your battery for about 10 seconds and put it back on this will reset the computer and should take that message away. Had this problem, needed to diconnect both terminals for the code to clear. Thanks for the help in resolving this problem as GM dealer wanted $$$$$$ to clear code which only takes a minute with portable computer they have. No wonder they are losing market share!!!!
I had a company called "Dealer Services" repair my display. It only cost $55 with shipping! Dealer Services 940-882-2158
It goes in from the rear. If you can't get to it you may have to remove the light assy.
Should have an automatic belt tensioner -perhaps it is defective
I don't think there is a belt tensioner. Belt tension is adjusted at the power steering pump bracket and idler pulley assembly.
battery or corroded connection on battery
One click most likely is a bad starter motor or solenoid.
Many clicks battery or connection problem.
The power steering resevoir on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt is located below the alternator. It is between the alternator and the fire-wall, and just below the two heater hoses..
Probably on the pump itself. From the left side of the car look down below the alternator by the firewall.
Air Injector System Switching Valve Stuck Open Bank2
yea the same one that it had u can probably get it at Pontiac dealer ship or at the junk yard

Well there isn't necessarily a radio with that feature but you can buy an adapter for it. The one I ended up getting was the PAC SWI-X Steering Wheel Controls Interface. It worked out perfectly for me. But be sure to read about it first and make sure that it is compatible with your new stereo.
A 1997 Grand Am (GT or SE) could either have a 2.4L Quad-4 or a 3.1L V-6.
1. The a/c system may be low on freon because on R134a systems being just a couple of ounces low can cause this..
2. The evaporator may be restricted, if so then it will need to be replaced..
3. In side a/c - heater control doors are leaking and or not working correctly..
