Answer 1: It is both unethical, and a violation of the Holt system's Terms of Service (TOS) agreement (and it might even be illegal... a form of theft) to share usernames and passwords. I'm sorry, but it just is; and it should make a difference to you. Dishonest is a big deal. I've been seeing news reports lately about how the vast majority of high school students have cheated in their lives; and that they think it's okay.
It is not okay. Integrity matters in life; and integrity means doing the right thing even when no one's watching. It has nothing to do with God or the Ten Commandments or whether or not anyone will go to hell for lying or anything like that. Rather, it has to do with being (and being known as) an honest and honorable person in life; someone who can be trusted; someone whose word is his/her bond. It has to do with credibility. It has to do with all of our responsibilities under the implied social contract; and how our honoring them helps to make life, society and culture worth living! It has to do with the Golden Rule (do unto others as you would have them do unto you), and how simply following it can help to keep our society and lives from falling into chaos.
Don't try to get away with things just because you can. That's how criminals think. Are you a criminal? If you're not, then please stop acting like one.
Get your own username and password. Do things the right and honorable way. You'll not only impress others, but you'll feel better about yourself, too.
