What would cause the ABS light to come on on a 1994 Honda Accord EX?

First check your brake fluid level and then check all the ABS plug connector wires at each wheel hub assy. If these are ok you will need to get your ABS computer system scanned at a reputable service centre as only they can tell you which wheel bearing assembly has the faulty ABS sensor in it.

Which turbo kit is good for an 97 accord?

sorry but a Honda accord 97 is not a car that deserves a turbocharger, it ain't worth it ... just buy a 2010 BMW m3 and it comes with the turbocharger , instead of wasting you money on a turbocharger for a Japanese piece of crap engine

How do you replace passenger side head light bulbs in a '98 Honda Accord LX 4-cylinder?

Remove the battery, then you should be able to remove the "spin on" cover that holds the bulb in place

There is no need to remove the battery to change a headlight bulb. I have done this a few times already in my 98 Accord. All you need is a chubby Philips screw driver. There are three screws holding the headlight in securely. Loosten these (no need to remove completely) turn the exhisting headlight counter clockwise until you can see the plastic expansions are free from beneath the screws. Gently pull out and you can unclip the old light (a small flathead screwdriver used as a wedge works fine) and put in the new light. place the headlight back in and turn clockwise. (pay attention to the plactic expansions, make sure they are beneath the screws) Re-tighten the screws and you're done.

Where is the speed sensor located on a 1995 Honda Accord DX?

speed sensor Honda accordbelow the distributor, hard to see. two bolts hold it on (I believe)

Answer:

On 4-cylinder Accords, it's actually behind the engine. Remove the air intake tube and look down on top of the transmission to see it. It's way down inside. It has an electrical connector, and two bolts. Don't lose the tiny pin inside it when removing it.

Check out this article on how to replace the speed sensor: http://www.ehow.com/how_6782309_replace-sensor-1995-Honda-accord.HTML

How do you download a 1989 Honda Accord LXi owner's manual?

It will never be found on the internet- your best shot would be to call a dealer, and see if he can get you one. They are usually cheap for the older cars.

You can also visit a salvage yard and look for one in a wrecked Accord.

If you want the manual go here:

Make sure to thank me later!

What is the proper tire pressure for a 2013 Honda Accord?

Listed on the drivers door post and in the owners manual.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1990 Honda Accord?

It is located in the engine compartment on the passenger side of the firewall just below the vacuum control box. It should be black with two lines running to it. (It looks like a mini oil filter)

It will be much easier to change if you remove the vacuum control box first so that you have easier access to the bolts for the fuel lines.

You will want to have a rag handy when you undue the fuel lines because the fuel is under pressure and a small amount is going to run out when you loosen the bolts.

CAUTION - I would let your engine and exhaust cool down before doing this due the the fire hazard associated with the fuel that is going to run out of the fuel lines.

Don't forget to install the NEW aluminum washers that will come with your new fuel filter.

If the drivers door on a 1989 Accord will not open but everything appears to be connected how can you get the door open to replace the latch?

I have dealt with this problem before at our bodyshop. Basically, a spring inside the latch has broke, and now there is no way to release the latch, even by manually pulling on the release lever at the latch. Prepare to replace the latch, as it is not repairable.

Be prepared to be working inside the car. To make it easier to work, unbolt the seat, and remove from the car. Remove the door panel, and also the door handle. You will have to chisel at the plastic part of the latch, and break it off bit by bit. Eventually you will be able to release the latch.

good luck

How do you replace clutch in a 1988 Honda Accord lx?

this guide is for replacing the clutch in a 1988 Honda accord dx. lx may vary.

also this is removing the tranny via the bottom not through the top.

first of course take out the battery of course. also dis connect the coil distributor wire. wont have an accidetal start then. raise it up so it is both front tires off the ground block the wheels and e brake and put it in reverse.

next take off the tires. then the rotors both sides at once if u can. have some one help u. calipers too. now it gets tricky and difficult. take off the hub nuts. way more difficult then it sounds . was for me. then u have to unbolt the arm coming to the axle or w/e its callled. [the rotor sits on that part] the take the pin out of the bolt on the very bottom. [name unsure] make sure not to lose anything! take the bolt from the fork out. and also the steering bar unscrew that without moving the bolt tooo much. just crack it, and the clamp on the boot take it off too and the the bar should move takes a 12mm wrench [small is better][remember its all metric and mostly 14mm 12mm 10mm and 17mm, more random sizes. not bad overall] now u need to take out both axles very difficult but its alright getting them in. get that brake line out of the way as well. [redo your brake after this, bleed adjust] and not u need to take out your starter.[two mounting bolts not the long skinny ones!!!!!!] now that u did that u can more easily reach the transmission/motor mounts. now loosen all of the bolts holding the transmission on and there is a few brackets u will need to take off. do not drop the tranny!!!!!! there is more to do first. there is ur clutch cable that needs to be taken off and ur speedometer cable as well clutch cable is on the front and speedometer is in the back. there is also 2 hoses that may be quiet difficult to take off. right next to the speedometer cable. leave one braket on the back of the tranny so u can tie a rope or something to it. now completely remove the tranmission u can now wiggle it off and lower it to the ground. its not heavy if u drained it. now u can move it off to the side and see your pressure plat clutch and part of your *FLYWHEEL. your ready to remove the pressure plate and clutch. check your tranny and clean out the inside of the bell housing. brake cleaner works great. have fun putting it back toegether....

hints:

flywheel spec for 1988 Honda accord is somthing like .615 check yours at autopart store. may need resurfaced it cost 35$ for me.

the clutch will not work when put all the way back toegether u need to lift the throw out bearing arm until it resists u and tighten your clutch cable accordingly.

u can now drive it. if u know anything about vaccums hit me up. my car wont idle now.

Possibly change engine oil/filter and any other maintenance that is due. At 105,000 miles you MUST replace the cam belt, water pump, thermostat, and coolant. Also replace the spark plugs if they have not been replaced. Replace the brake fluid if that has not been done.

What causes the S light to flash and the car not to start when it is flashing sporatically on a 1991 Honda Accord even when the battery is disconnected?

This could be an ECM or TCU problem. Try to check your codes (search the code check on this site http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl189f.htm) to determine if there is a problem with your computer or a short. I ahd a similar problem where the S light would come on sporatically and only allow my transmission to shift between second and third. A rebuilt TCM (TCU) on eBay fixed the problem. If your speedometer doesn't work either it could be your VSS, it's about $50.

I have also heard that it can be the main relay. Does it happen after sitting in the hot sun? Or when you stop someplace for a few minutes? Does it start up after letting it sit for a bit? If so, then it definitely sounds like the main relay. It is located under the dash on the driver's side. The solder cracks in the heat and makes the connection again when it cools. So it is possible for you to fix yourself. Do a search for it on Google and you will find pictures of where to reflow the solder.
