Which hormone is released by cardiac muscle in response to abnormal stretching of the heart walls?
ANP
No. Insulin is a hormone produced by cells in the body of animals.
How is the name follicle-stimulating hormone appropriate for its function?
In females, in the ovary FSH stimulates the growth of immature Graafian follicles to maturation. Graafian follicles are the mature follicle. Primary follicles mature to Graafian follicles. As the follicle grows, it releases inhibin, which shuts off the FSH production.
How does adrenaline affect the heart?
it speeds up heart rate and can kill you if you don't do anything with the adrenaline in your body.
other things adrenaline can do give you extra strength (ex. a mother's child is ran over and that car is parked on the child so the gets lots of adrenaline and can flip the car over, do not try to see if this works) or make you go extremely fast (if you under go the experience multiple times you start getting less adrenaline)
Where is prolactin located in the body?
Prolactin is a hormone that is primarily produced in the anterior pituitary gland and its target tissue is the mammary glands and stimulates the letdown, or secretion, of milk from the breasts for nursing an infant,
Why is glucagon called anti insulin hormonewhy does it have this name?
It keeps your insulin that is in your body from causing your bood sugar to get any lower. Then it begins to raise your blood sugar. This isn't a very good technique though which is why it is only to be used if you are unconcious.
Insulin and Glucagon and what happens to the person has skipped e meal?
After a person has skipped a meal, the person's blood glucose level will stay at its normal level as there isn't any glucose absorbed. To maintain this normal blood glucose level, the pancreatic cells will secrete glucagon which stimulates the body to convert stored glycogen into glucose. There won't be any insulin secreted as insulin is only secreted when the blood glucose level increases beyond its normal level (for example, after a meal).
cortisol
Can insulin or glucagon be given in pill form?
Cannot. Both are protein hormones. So they are digested by gastric juice.
What hormone is released to begin labor contractions?
Evidence that a hormonal signal from fetus to mother signals the onset of labor.
Four of the major hormonal systems are active during labor and birth. These involve oxytocin, endorphins, adrenaline and noradrenaline (epinephrine and norepinephrine) and prolactin. These systems are common to all mammals and originate deep in our mammalian or middle brain.
What is Audio Adrenaline's email address?

What does Hypo secretion of antidiuretic hormone leads to?
Hypo secretion of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) leads to a condition called diabetes insipidus. This causes excessive thirst and urination, as the kidneys are unable to concentrate urine properly. This can result in dehydration and electrolyte imbalances if left untreated.
What part of the body does the antidiuretic hormone come from?
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH) is synthesized by nuclei in a particular part of the hypothalamus called the paraventricular nucleus. Once ADH is synthesized it is transported down the axons of the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus to the posterior pituitary where it is then released into the blood circulation. ADH synthesis is increased during dehydration as it acts on the kidneys to prevent water excretion. This is achieved by effectively making a region of the kidneys more permeable to water, among other things. Disorders of the hypothalamus can cause Central Diabetes Insipidus, where the bdy is unable to manufacture ADH and you will quickly become dehydrated if water consumption is stopped.
What is the molecular weight for insulin?
The human insulin protein is composed of 51 amino acids, and has a molecular mass of 5808 Da. Insulin for other species will be somewhat different.
What are the effects of parathyroid horomone in relation to calcium?
It increases the calcium level. Also decreases phosphate level
What is the relationship between ethylene gas and senescence?
Ethylene act as a hormone of senescence for plants.
What does an elevated parathyroid hormone level mean?
It means that for whatever reason, your parathyroid glands are trying to increase your blood's calcium level. This may be a normal response if you are hypocalcemic. However, if your calcium levels are normal (or even high) it may be the result of a malfunction of the parathyroid glands. Chronically elevated parathyroid hormone will cause your bones to release so much calcium to your blood that weak bones result.
What anterior pituitary hormones stimulates milk production?
The hormone prolactin will cause milk production.
What is the difference between insulin and glucagon?
Insulin signals blood cells like liver and muscle cells. These are used to accelerate the conversion of glucose to glycogen that's stored in the liver. Glucagon attach themselves to liver cells telling them to convert glycogen to glucose and to release glucose into the blood.
How do you beat the is it the end level on adrenaline challenge?
At the very beginning of the level where there's a spike thing coming out blocking your way, make sure you approach it slowly. When you reach it, tilt the front of your bike up but make sure your back doesn't hit the ground. After you get pass that, go at full speed off the ramp until you land on another ramp. When you ride up the wall, make sure the "rail" at the top going off of the side has your tires in it. The last hard part is getting pass the small cracks in the floor. What I do is ride backwards and when my back tire is over the crack, i let my back swing under the crack and i press the key (left or right) to go backwards. Just do that for all the splits in the ground. After that, it's pretty much smooth sailing. Good luck!
