I'm curious because my sister does this. What is interesting is that she has this extreme evasion of responsibility. It is my opinion that people who grow up in confinded environment may need to rebel. People who lack social skills or were not taught any have a difficult time socializing with society. Another common factor is that people may crave attention or in most cases have not experieicned love. They may also of been abbused verbally or physically. People choose to be different in many ways and i respect that however you dont have to flaunt it because it just screams "look at me - nobody loves me" which is said. They need the attention and dont know how else to get. They may also lack empathy which or completley shut down emotions. They have a hard time relating to other people because they are so busy being different.

Early, industrial/organizational psychologists concerned themselves with the problems of fatigue, boredom, and other factors relevant to working conditions that could impede efficient work performance. More recently, their contributions have been expanded to include learning, perception, personality, emotions, training, leadership effectiveness, needs and motivational forces, job satisfaction, decision-making processes, performance appraisals, attitude measurement, employee selection techniques, work design, and job stress.
Sociology
While psychology focuses on the individual, sociology studies people in relation to their fellow human beings. Specifically, sociologists have made their greatest contribution to OB through their study of group behavior in organizations, particularly formal and complex organizations. Some of the areas within OB that have received valuable input from sociologists are group dynamics, design of work teams, organizational culture, formal organization theory and structure, organizational technology, communications, power, and conflict.
Social Psychology
Social psychology blends concepts from both psychology and sociology. It focuses on the influence of the people on one another. One of the major areas under considerable investigation by social psychologists has been change-- how to implement it and how to reduce barriers to its acceptance. In addition, we find social psychologists making significant contributions in the areas of measuring , understanding, and changing attitudes; communication patterns; building trust; the way in which group activities can satisfy individual needs; and group decision-making process.
Anthropology
Anthropology is the study of societies to learn about human beings and their activities. For instance, anthropologists' work on cultures and environments has helped us understand differences in fundamental values, attitudes, and behavior between people in different countries and within different organizations. Much of our current understanding of organizational culture, organizational environments, and differences between national cultures is the result of the work of anthropologists or those using their methods.
Political Science
Although frequently overlooked, the contributions of political scientists are significantly to the understanding of behavior in organizations. Political science studies the behavior of individuals and groups within a political environment. Specific topics of concern here include the structuring of conflict, allocation of power, and how people manipulate power for individual self-interest.

According to me, humility like all things is best in moderation. Humility is a good thing if it's not excessive; too much humility is false behavior due to our natural egos. Too little humility can lead to egotism, also best in moderation.
So, according to me too humble is bad; not humble enough is bad; being moderately humble is good.
Why are there gays and lesbians and others with unconventional sexual orientations and expressions?
Sexual orientation and gender identity are complex and influenced by a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. Just like there is diversity in every aspect of human experience, there is also diversity in sexual orientation and gender identity. It is simply a natural part of human variation.

From a Religion & Spirituality point of view, sin may be an adequate answer, but adhering to that answer will inevitably lead to strong sectarianism and to religious wars, which of course will be caused by righteousness and not by sin, not much of a step up. The results will be the same if not worse.
A more useful answer may be that humans engage in war because conflict and combat are part of human nature. There will be conflicts over borders, the distribution of scarse resources, cultural differences-- religion among the more important ones, struggles over international hegemony and lusting after power, exploitation of poorer or less developed countries that have a wealth of natural resources that are globally valuable, and there are probably many others. As long as there are humans that have not been blasted away by other humans, there will be conflict, and it will occasionally rise to the level of combat/war. Among the things that will help minimize such combat will be a strong sense of international interdependence espoused by groups like the United Nations.
