What human behavior is affecting the earth's environment?

Something that adds a lot of carbon dioxide to the earths atmosphere, which is a main greenhouse gas, is the burning of fossil fuels. This increases the greenhouse effect which is what is believed to be the cause of global warming. Coal and oil are prime examples of important fossil fuels we burn that add C02. This is also why they are coming out with hybrid cars and in the future, use of hydrogen cells. These are much cleaner ways of getting around.

Also, the deforestation of the rainforest and other forested areas are a big problem. This is mainly because trees take out the carbon dioxide from air. The CO2 that we are putting in the air can be naturally filtered by the trees, but when we cut them down, we are just making it harder for nature to do that for us. These two examples combined are just a huge way that humans are changing the environment.

This is a rather vague question as teens have been known to do about all the same bad things adults do. However, not all of them do such things. For instance, some teens do drugs or drink. Some have sex. Some shoplift. Some go for joyrides in other people's cars. Some do dangerous stunts or have dangerous "games". A few kill people. Some also die at that age, which is also a bad thing. Why is it claimed that Muslims smell bad?

Answer 1

According to social customs people should be clean always. Everyone should shower regularly. You cannot judge an entire nation. That is just Racism. It's human nature, if one don't shower he'll definitely stinks whiter Muslim or whether catholic or Hindu. So, Definitely, It's a false statement to say Muslims smell bad.

Answer 2

I fully support the arguments mentioned in answer 1 above and would like to add that Qur'an says:

"O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of uncleanliness, then purify yourselves...." (5:6) However, many Muslims have drifted away from the teachings of the Qur'an (just like the roommates girlfriend above who moved in with her non-Muslim boyfriend).

Answer 3

  • It's just false accusation that Muslims smell bad. According to The Holy Qur'an, a Muslim has to be clean always. It means he should take shower regularly and use a good cologne. Cleanliness is the number one priority in Islam. So, whoever said that Muslims smell bad, he/she's wrong. & secondly, Muslims pray five times a day and in order to pray, they have to wash their faces, their teeth, their hands and arms and their foots every time they go to prayer. Means they do it five times a day. So, how can someone smell bad if they stay clean so much.
  • This false claim indicates that some people hate Islam and hate Muslims and create false issues about Islam and Muslims. I fully support the arguments mentioned in answer 1 above and would like to add that Qur'an says (meaning English Translation):
"O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves...." (5:6)
  • The other point, I wonder the one who claims that Muslims smell bad, did he/she smelled every Muslim in the world to generalize his/her accusation to all world Muslims.? Did he/she smelled ever non Muslim to assume that they are clean rather than Muslims?
