What is the connection between the Atlas area in the body and Hypertension?

Your best bet would be to find an Integrated Massage Therapist in your area that also incorporates "Cranial Sacrum" into their therapy. They would likely know what the connection is or at least be able to give you the treatment and perhaps get you on the road to lowering your blood pressure through this therapy. Another way would be through an Acupuncturist. I had high blood and was overweight to point of obesity. My medical doctor put me on medication for the high BP. I started seeing an acupuncturist for debilitating headaches that the doctor wasn't able to help me with after months and months of trying everything. The massage therapist was unable to help either - although I always felt better after seeing her. After one visit to the acupuncturist - the headaches disappeared completely. That was seven years ago - never again have I had one of those atrocious headaches. So, I asked him if he could help with my hypertension - I was getting readings of 165/110 and variations up and down from there. I was off of the blood pressure medication within three months and have had steady readings since of 120/80 or less! I am no longer getting specifically treated for hypertension now. Now if he treated the Atlas area in my vertebra - that I do not know - but it would make sense. And, any decent acupuncturist should be able to tell you. I have since lost weight which surely helps to keep the BP down as well, but, it was the acupuncture treatment that brought it down to begin with. As for the Cranial Sacrum therapy - since it is working with the spinal fluids from your head down to your tail bone, I would also think it could have an effect on the Atlas Area Vertebra. A combination of the two treatments should be able to control your hypertension either way. But, only the two afore mentioned professionals would be able to tell you for sure. But as for my personal experience they both helped with my hypertension (seven years), weight loss (68 pounds lost over a three-year span with no weight gained back after four years - at all), better posture so less back pain, and no more horrid headaches - all which could have been attributed to the hypertension or contributed to cause it.

Can high blood pressure be cured?

Yes, but it should be monitored even if it appears to be "cured." Stress and diet are two of the non-genetic instigators of high blood pressure. Both can be improved by working with a doctor on life style changes such as reducing salt intake, eating healthier, exercising and avoiding things like coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, and stress, things that are known to exacerbate high blood pressure. There are also many herbs one who has high blood pressure should avoid. Licorice for example can elevate blood pressure levels. Certain medications are of concern as well. Get tested regularly, get on a healthy program, if your doctor recommends blood pressure lowering medication take them, and stay informed.

Can cheese cause high blood pressure?

Yes. Most cheeses are high in salt and therefore raise your sodium intake considerably. If you have high BP and are trying to limit your intake, then only treat yourself to cheese occasionally - there are low salt varieties available these days.

Some cheeses (especially mature cheeses) contain Tyramine which is a substance that can significantly and rapidly raise blood pressure. (This is particularly important for people who may be taking the MAOI class of antidepressant drugs as they interact.)

If a man is 72 and a diabetic with osteoporosis and hypertension does that guarantee he will not be sentenced to die if convicted of six counts of first degree murder?

No There's an aweful lot of law probabilities in this question but I'll answer to the best of my knowledge at least. law.com will probably have some info on a specific answer. Yet from what I know of law is that there is no guarantee of anything. Murder is Murder no matter what and there is now law written anywhere that says a person with a disability or other physical hinderment -cannot- be put to the death penalty. To answer your question. Being 72 and a diabetic with osteoporosis and hypertension will never guarantee a person of not being put to the death sentance. It may sway the jury out of recomending the death penalty. Yet, 6 counts of 1st degree murder is pretty extreme, and I personally doubt any jury would be swayed by any disability the defendant had. Even if the guy is given the death penalty by the courts, the prison will probably just lock him on death-row and let him go. He'll never see freedom again and quite frankly I don't think I would want him to. Most states won't get around to executing someone for being a serial murderer for several years and by then he will probably be dead already.

When to treat high blood pressure?

The traditional cutoff is 140/90, but more recent research has shown that any consistent BPs above 130/85 warrant treatment. Anti-hypertensive medication which brings blood pressure into the 110/70 to 120/80 range significantly reduces the risks of myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) and cerebrovascular accidents (strokes).

Can cinchona officinalis 6x be taken with high blood pressure medicine?

A homoeopathic remedy like Cinchona can easily be taken together with more mainstream medication. In fact homoeopathic students are taught to treat alongside the already prescribed allopathic medication, taking both. The homoeopathic practitioner will advise the patient that medication like high blood pressure drugs should only be cut back in consultation with the specialist who has prescribed it. Obviously this phasing out starts when the homoeopathic remedy like Cinchona has started the healing process.

Is it a stroke or not cat scan of brain showed nothing but doctors say you had a cva?

Ischemic strokes and CVAs (cerebrovascular accidents) are caused by the same thing - a lack of blood flow to a part of the brain. The difference is one of duration. In an ischemic stroke, the blood flow loss is permanent or semi-permanent, causing a permanent or semi-permanent loss of function in the part of the body that is served by the part of the brain affected. In a CVA, however, the blood flow loss is temporary, so the loss of function in the area of the body served by the part of the brain that was robbed of blood flow is also temporary, and usually resolves in 24 hours or so. Another difference between the two is that ischemic strokes are usually visible on CT scan and CVAs are not. Often, physicians will use this difference before the 24-48 hour period is up so that they can know whether they should think about initiating "clot-buster" drugs. They also need to know so that they can either prepare the patient and family members for the consequences of stroke, or, as in your case, apparently, reassure the patient and family that the symptoms should resolve completely in 1-2 days. Regardless, you should be followed closely by a doctor for several months and should be started on appropriate medications to treat your cerebrovascular disease (CVD), the name of the condition that causes people to have either CVAs or strokes.
