Name five communist states in India?

In general there are mainly two communist (socialist) states where all the political power is consolidated by one of the communists parties, (Since the cold war the communist party of India has broken apart into many other smaller parties, the largest are predominently the Maoist and Naxatile parties, which follow very harsh socialist principles similar to those in Stalin's USSR.) are Kerla in the South and West Bengal which borders Bangladesh. West Bengal is the 2nd most populated state in India, and in many instances, the communist party torture anyone who they see as a threat to the communist regime. However, unlike West Bengal, Kerla is a sparsly populated state, with the highest literacy rate in India. Although mitigated economic growth is imminent, the people of Kerla generaly live better lives than those in West Bengal. Many other states on the East coast of India are also ruled over by the communist party or are having severe problems with Communist insurgency. For this reason, most of eastern India, though containing more than 2/3rds of India's population, remains reletivly economicaly undeveloped, only exceptions are Tamil Nadu, and Ahndra Pradesh.

The States where the communist party holds a democratic majority, usually by corrupt means, are Chattisgarah, Bihar, Jharkland, Orissa, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh. These states are for the most part over-run by the communist party and run their state, similar to how West Bengal does. In these areas, political instablity is very high, and rioting may happen occasionaly against the Communist governments.

The States that are experiecing communist insurgency are Kerla, All States on the East Coast, and the Pan-handle of India. Insurgency is spilling out of Bangladesh, Nepal, and China. All though in some of these states, the communist party maintains a strong hold onto it, and by democratic means in some instances, the Indian federal government has classified these states as over-run by terrorists.

Difference between Indian gaap and us gaap?

MAJOR DIFFERENCES: 1. Underlying assumptions: Under Indian GAAP, Financial statements are prepared in accordance with the principle of conservatism which basically means "Anticipate no profits and provide for all possible losses". Under US GAAP conservatism is not considered, if it leads to deliberate and consistent understatements---revenue recognized when earned or when it is realized or realizable. 2. Format/ Presentation of financial statements: Under Indian GAAP, financial statements are prepared in accordance with the presentation requirements of Schedule VI to the Companies Act, 1956. On the other hand , financial statements prepared as per US GAAP are not required to be prepared under any specific format as long as they comply with the disclosure requirements of US GAAP. 3. Cash flow statement: Under Indian GAAP (AS 3) , inclusion of Cash Flow statement in financial statements is mandatory only for companies whose share are listed on recognized stock exchanges and Certain enterprises whose turnover for the accounting period exceeds Rs. 50 crore. Thus , unlisted companies escape the burden of providing cash flow statements as part of their financial statements. On the other hand, US GAAP (SFAS 95) mandates furnishing of cash flow statements for 3 years - current year and 2 immediate preceding years irrespective of whether the company is listed or not . 4. Depreciation: Under the Indian GAAP, depreciation is provided based on rates prescribed by the Companies Act, 1956. US GAAP , depreciation has to be provided over the estimated useful life of the asset, 5. Long term Debts: Under US GAAP , the current portion of long term debt is classified as current liability, whereas under the Indian GAAP, there is no such requirement and hence the interest accrued on such long term debt in not taken as current liability. 6. Consolidation of subsidiary accounts: Under the Indian GAAP, consolidation of accounts of subsidiary companies is not mandatory. Under US GAAP (SFAS 94),Consolidation of results of Subsidiary Companies is mandatory. 7. Investments: Under Indian GAAP (AS 13), Investments are classified as current and long term. Investments are required to be segregated in 3 categories i.e. held to Maturity Security ( Primarily Debt Security) , Trading Security and Available for sales Security and should be further segregated as Current or Non current on Individual basis.

Why is India underdeveloped?

India is backward mainly because of illiteracy. Many of the Indian have lack of knowledge about Education which is very important for all Human life. Education tells many things and build brains. Because of lack of Education, there is a problem of population, cleaniness, basic understanding of India etc.

India is backward because of not one or two but many reasons...as stated above illiteracy is the main problem, corruption: in which corruption leads to inequality of financial status which results in poverty and from poverty people can't afford to send their children to schools which results in illiteracy and child labour. where as people on the top they are corrupt with nations money to the Swiss banks and its such a shame that India tops in black money deposits in Swiss bank.

Another problem is caste system which all the politicians are making the best use to win the elections and go to the top and push the country down under the earth.

I think british rule was far better than the current rule, only two things can change the country either people have to change the by nominating representatives from themselves but not from the parties[ i mean a representative should be elected by the people and from the people but not bringing in someone from each party and choosing among them], and two there should be again british rule imposed for at least 15-20 years, but this time without exploiting the wealth of India.

What are coalition governments and why are they often unstable?

A coalition government is a cabinet of a parliamentary government in which several parties cooperate. The usual reason given for this arrangement is that no party on its own can achieve a majority in the parliament.

To deal with a situation in which no clear majorities appear through general elections, parties either form coalition cabinets, supported by a parliamentary majority, or minority cabinets which may consist of one or more parties. Cabinets based on a coalition with majority in a parliament, ideally, are more stable and long-lived than minority cabinets. While the former are prone to internal struggles, they have less reason to fear votes of non-confidence. Majority government based on a single party are typically even more stable, as long as their majority can be maintained.
