I had the same problem. I understand this is a common problem with the 6 Disc Bose CD players, they stop working or jam and won't eject the CD. They are too expensive to fix and also to buy another is more than $400. what I did was go to Ebay and they have some used for about $150 or you can buy a used Bose single disc CD player from Ebay from a Nissan Maxima years 2000-2003 and it will work just fine. Be sure it is the BOSE CD player or it will not work with the Infinity radio connections. It fits in the dash just perfect no modifications needed.

My trusted transmission shop says don't touch the transmission fluid or filter until you have a problem! Otherwise if you start messing with it you will cause a problem. His advice has worked for me for 100k miles or more on all my cars!
How do I remove the front seat on a Infinity I35?
There ar FIVE bolts under the front seat. The front two are easy to get at but be sure to get BOTH that are mounted sideways at the back right corner. Now the power seat is usually all the way back when it stops working so the last bolt near the door at the back is near impossible to get out. I cut a 14mm wrench so just a bit of the handle was left and managed to get it between the plastic and the metal around the head of the bolt. It was difficult but the seat is out.

Your starter in on the top side of the transmission where it bolts to the engine. Standing in
front of the vehicle and Looking down from the right rear corner of the engine cover you
can see it.. You will need to pull the airfilter box out to get to it..
Please don't forget to take the battery cables loose before removing the starter.

How do you replace the alternator on an Infiniti I35?
not very easily is the answer. You will need to allow at least 3 hours unless you have some step by step instructions to get you there. Do not waste your money on Automix DIY manual as it is a complee joke and doesn't begin to go into the detail needed to do this repair. Prepare to remove the 4 bots mounting the AC at the bottom as this is the only way to get the alternator out. Remove the front passenger wheel for easier access as well. Patience and time is what is needed here. If you are a little sketchy at repair you might want to consider having a mechanic do this. The alternator is around $160 bucks and probably for that much more you should be able to have it replaced. Good luck.
